Market at EDITION — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

I visited this restaurant with my family during the holy month of Ramadan to try out their Iftar buffet, I had previously visited this restaurant during the last Ramadan and it had been an amazing experience. During this year’s visit I arrived at the restaurant with my family with a prior reservation and faced many issues such as:

having our reserved table mixed up with another party’s reservation

the lack of variety in the buffet selection

no refills at the juice bar, we had to spend the rest of our night with no drinks along with other guests who faced the same issue

the lack of help provided by the staff, we had let many staff members know about the empty sections of the buffet where the food had been finished but even after long time periods the place still seemed to remain that way

Most of the food was being served cold

We ordered coffee after our meal but had to ask for it around 3 different times as it never arrived and the staff kept disappearing

the disappearance of staff whenever an issue arises (Arabic coffee was cold/ juice bar was empty/ the food we ordered from the separate menu wasn’t arriving)

Much of the food lacked flavour (stuffed grape leaves/ kibbeh/ lentil soup/ etc)

the food that we ordered from the set menu had arrived extremely late

only one member of the staff seemed to be working while all the other staff members disappeared

I used to adore this place but I most definitely will not be returning anytime...

Booked a table for Ramadan iftar 2024 and it was the most embarrassing and disappointing experience ever.

From the start we saw the waitress was about to give our reserved table to another family and on the spot they realized that they were about to do a mistake.

After we sat on our table, the waiter was trying to service everything but he didn’t know much about Ramadan hospitality such as starting with water and laster explaining the menu and the buffet style.

Most of the food lacked flavor even from the menu. Much of the food items were missing or extremely cold with no refills such as drinks, appetizers and soup.

There was a bad flow between each course and it was messy in terms of waiters not giving us much attention though-out the meals. Arabic Coffee order by end of the meal was bad and even cappuccino was really bad.

Price range is exaggerated since the selection is extremely limited and tasteless and left the restaurant still feeling hungry.

I will definitely not coming back to this restaurant ever. It was shocking that this resturant is in edition...

Happened to stay here in The Abudhabi EDITION. I landed the hotel well before the std check-in time and I thought of waiting in the lobby till I get my key. But I was amazed by the gesture of the front desk staff. She was so cordial and helpful, she managed to accommodate me 3 hrs before my check-in time with an upgraded room facing marine. One more impressive perk is about their timing for their complimentary breakfast. I have traveled and stayed across many hotels, where the breakfast timing would be fixed for 3-4 hrs n the morning. Here, in their complimentary breakfast venue, Market At Edition, offers breakfast from morning till evening, yes, u heard it right, absolutely to the guests convenient time, splendid service indeed😊. Finally and above all, my spl mention to the staff, Ms.Abigail and Mr. Rostik who were there in their breakfast venue. They were very genial and polite.
