Disappointing and Deceptive – Not Worth the Hype or the Price

I ordered the steak sandwich expecting, at the very least, an actual steak—especially given the premium price. What I received was far from that.

The sandwich came with tough, leathery flank meat that was mislabeled as “steak.” It was overcooked by default—when I asked the waitress why no one asked how I’d like it cooked, she casually responded, “It’s well-done by default.” That alone should have been a red flag.

To make things worse, the sandwich included what looked like quality melted cheese in the pictures, but in reality, it was cheap sliced cheese slapped on top. The “truffle mayo” tasted artificial and unpleasant—no real truffles here, just an overpowering synthetic flavor trying to pass as fancy.

The only mildly acceptable part of the sandwich was the brioche bun, which is hard to mess up. But even that wasn’t enough to save this sad excuse of a dish.

Saddle markets itself as something it’s clearly not. This experience felt deliberately misleading, from the menu wording to the product execution. I’ve posted pictures so you can see the gap between expectation and reality.

I recently visited Saddle House for breakfast and tried the Saddle La Brioche along with a drink. The atmosphere was inviting, radiating positive vibes, and made for an enjoyable experience.

However, I did notice that things seemed to get a bit hectic when the place was crowded. I encountered a small hiccup with my order on two occasions, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, it took a tad longer than expected to place my order.

Attention to details can really elevate the dining experience, especially for those seeking a morning boost through good food and service.

Unfortunately, I left the restaurant giving them 2 stars only because I only received the drink by the time they brought the check. Given my experience, I wasn’t entirely satisfied with my dining experience at this place.

Saddle House has potential, but fine-tuning these aspects could make it truly exceptional. I look forward to seeing improvements...
