The Old Hall Hotel — Hotel in Coventry

Im going to start this review with a HUGE Thank you. We Definitely recommend the Old Hall for santa wonderland and grotto experience you will NOT be disappointed. Its very christmassy and Santa was just brilliant. The room used is beautifully decorated and Santa's cabin is so cosy. The whole experience is perfect for the kids and adults too and extremely reasonably priced. I'm fussy and only do traditional Christmas things and I could not fault this place at all about anything. The grotto Staff are all dressed christmassy as elfs and very welcoming. All hotel staff are polite, helpful and welcoming on arrival. Our 1yr old little boy unfortunately took ill the day we were supposed to visit and ended up in Hospital. We phoned the old hall and explained we weren't able to attend and the reason why. They were very compassionate and saved all his crafts, gift from Santa etc for us to collect when we could. After 3 traumatic December's running where we've spent the last 3 December's in hopsital, 😭 the Old Hall treated us above and beyond like Family, they even gave us a courtesy call the following day to see how our little boy was, which was very touching and they offered us a home visit with Santa after knowing what we had been through the last 3 christmases running. This brought tears to our eyes we completely wasn't expecting it and thought we had missed every opportunity to see Santa with him for this year. We were so touched by the kindness of the Management team to not only call and ask how he was doing but to very kindly offer us a home visit. Our little 1 wasnt well at all and was asleep when Santa should of come to the house so we had to cancel this very kind offer, but the Manager very kindly said I could take him up a few days later to have his photo taken with Santa which we did, as a family we cannot thank the Manager and all the staff at the Old Hall enough. So so so welcoming and compassionate and very thoughtful towards us. This to us as a family on his first Christmas after the last 3 years has meant so much. We now have photos to treasure and look back on, We will definately return next year for definate. We aim to come and dine throughout the year aswell and recommend this place very highly to all. You wont be disappointed.

I am local and have heard many positive things about friends' experiences here when dining or just visiting for a coffee or few drinks. I'd been for a coffee during the daytime a few months ago, but have been hoping to call in on an evening to sample the wine. So I decided to stop by last night by myself, just to take some time out and relax. I was greeted at the entrance by a gentleman standing under an umbrella who was wearing a hi-viscoat and he directed me to the carpark and advised me of where the entrance to the building is. Impressive customer service and I haven't even entered the building yet. On entering the foyer you're immediately hit by the sheer elegance of the place through the view of the glass doors. Each room is spacious and immaculate with incredibly stylish interiors. There's plenty of seating including the odd cosy sofa and private booths. I was welcomed at the bar by a lady who I believe is the manager, called Georgie. Georgie took my drinks order and very thoughtfully suggested I go sit on the big sofa whilst she prepared my drink and bring it over to me. I felt so very well looked after almost instantly and the complimentary Pringles were very much appreciated too. Nice touch! I had such a relaxing time during my visit and the background music was great....It was a Motown playlist. Georgie came round to ask if everything was ok with me, including if I was warm enough. Again another thumbs up from me in the customer care department. Upon leaving I got chatting to Georgie at the bar and our conversation about wine led to Georgie offering me a free sample of a malbec wine. Honestly, this lady is the queen of customer service, she is an invaluable employee to this business and that is an understatement. I know it's a family run business, but it's still worth giving this lady the credit she truly deserves. I was super impressed. She could teach anyone in the hospitality trade a thing or two! Master of the trade to say the least!

Absolutely loved this place and I will be returning again. I especially look forward to trying out the food. Without a doubt one of the most classy establishments in Coventry with exceptional customer service. Sterling work guys! I'm proud to have this establishment on...

The Old Hall – A Perfect Wedding Celebration (April 20th, 2024)

Our wedding reception at The Old Hall on April 20th, 2024, was everything we could have hoped for and more. After getting married at the Coventry City Centre registry office, we were thrilled to move the celebration to this stunning venue, where we experienced a flawless day thanks to the dedicated efforts of Taz and her team.

From the very start of the planning process, Taz was incredible. She genuinely cared about making our day special and tailored everything to match our vision. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Whether it was finding the right dancefloor, arranging the perfect DJ (who kept the party going all night!), or ensuring all the fine details were exactly as we imagined, Taz made sure every aspect was taken care of with care and precision. She made us feel like the entire focus was on us, and her passion for making our day perfect truly shone through.

On the day itself, we were blown away by how smoothly everything ran. The staff were exceptional. From the moment our guests arrived to the last dance of the night, they were polite, attentive, and incredibly helpful. Countless guests came up to us during the reception to comment on how lovely the staff were, and we couldn’t agree more. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor really added to the relaxed, joyous atmosphere we wanted.

The Old Hall itself was the perfect setting, adding a touch of elegance to our celebration. But it was the combination of the beautiful venue and the outstanding service that made our wedding day absolutely perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate with our family and friends. Every detail was exactly as we’d dreamed, and Taz went above and beyond to ensure we had the bespoke wedding party we had envisioned.

In short, we cannot recommend The Old Hall highly enough. If you’re looking for a wedding venue with a stunning setting, a team that truly cares, and a flexible, bespoke approach, this is the place. Our day was perfect, and we will forever be grateful to Taz and the amazing staff for making it...
