Booked The 19th Hole whilst visiting friends in the area. Room was clean and most of the staff friendly. Has free parking to the rear of the hotel and is within walking distance to the promenade/seafront area of Carnoustie. On my night of arrival (friday) I noticed a guest being served steak pie at approx 8pm....enquired with a member of the bar staff could I order food and they advised no as the kitchen was now closed.....even though another member of staff had just that minute brought out steak pie for another guest in the hotel.....|I ended up staying over an extra night and again booked my stay through Expedia and paid expedia on my debit card for the extra night as i get a discount with my blue light card.|On check out I met "Linda" who advised me she had just returned from holiday. I advised I just wanted to check out. Linda advised they had not received payment for my extra nights stay....i advised i had booked with Expedia and that they would receive the payment from them in due course ....I even displayed my bank acc statement to them to confirm I had paid. Several days later Linda took an unauthorised payment from my debit card instead of chasing up Expedia for payment!..so i had then paid twice for the room I stayed in for the extra night! I ended up having to phone Expedia to explain the situation and what Linda had done. Expedia apologised profusely and refunded me my money that I had paid them. Terrible customer service from Linda and what an absolutely disgusting way to treat paying customers! I wont be back for that reason, avoid this hotel like the plague. Surprised you have any customers left if this is how...

This is our local watering hole. Two mins from the Carnoustie beach and about a 5-10 walk from our house.

On this occasion we didn’t have food, but it is worthwhile calling out there’s a good menu with plenty of options. The food itself is very good, big call out for the sundaes especially 😋.

The bar is dog friendly, and the people behind the bar are clearly dog lovers. You’ll be offered a bowl of water without asking, likely get offered some biscuits and no doubt your doggo will also get a big fuss.

There’s a decent drinks selection too. Lots of draught beers to pick from including morretti, peroni, madri and of course the big tennents 🙌🏼.

Service is good and the bar staff are always incredibly friendly. Like all pubs, it’s a bit hit or miss how busy it will be dependent on what sports are on tv etc.

Definitely a place to visit if you want to have a relaxed night in Carnoustie.

The listing has it listed as no dogs allowed, I assume that is for the hotel, but the bar is definitely very...

Popped in to the 19th Hole yesterday to have a drink with a view to possibly having a meal as well. Waited our turn to be served by 1 of the 2 guys behind the bar. We sat at the bar and were then approached by a tall young man who took our order and served us courteously. When I was ready to reorder however it was a different story. Both the guys behind the bar were watching football on the big screen and it took another customer to point out that I was waiting to be served. This time a small lad with glasses approached obviously hacked off at having to serve me. He took my order and payment without a word and went back to watching the football and talking to his mate also sitting at the bar. Decided at that point to look elsewhere for something to eat. I don't expect special treatment or being fawned over when I go out but I do expect good manners and a degree of courtesy. As a result of this a sale was lost and I doubt if we...

Went in for a drink before a cowboy western themed birthday party, dressed up in fancy dress and the staff phoned the armed police. Where 12 officers showed up 6 of which were armed with assault rifles. Didn't bother to ask us why we were there or what we had planned first. Staff also did not apologise either.
