This is a great wee spot. Food is unreal - pies are always jam packed and it’s high quality filling (no gristly beef here!). Sausage rolls are a good size and quality too, brilliant. Doughnuts are banging, I like the fudge ring and my better part likes the fudge cream which is absolutely stuffed full. If you want hot pies/bridies/sausage rolls you probably need to rock up around lunch time which I think they usually aim to have stuff coming out the oven for.

Have to say the pies are fantastic. However, I'll never use this shop again after the way my wife was treated there. She went in before work, and the lady behind the counter was having a chat with a customer. After waiting patiently a couple of minutes, she asked if she could have a cake. She was told to wait. Another person walked in and joined the conversation, then got served before my wife. My wife walked out. Can't help but think that if my wife wasn't a 5-foot Asian woman, she wouldn't have been...

Disappointing that they are still using caged hen eggs in these enlightened times. No longer frequenting this shop because of this. Surely customers would be happy to pay a few pence extra given the inhumane way these unfortunate birds are treated?

To cap it all they have the temerity to sell free range eggs in the shop - a cynical marketing ploy.
