I arrived at Beach Lodge looking rather bedraggled and very hot, sweaty and red faced on my bike with stacks of luggage attached. i'd cycled the last leg of our epic journey from Nantwich which had taken us 7 days and was extremely relieved to reach my final stop - and what a stop it was.
Martin answered the door and looked a little aghast at my appearance and couldn't quite believe i'd cycled all that way. I had to apologize - I was talking what sounded like a lot of gibberish - it was due to the heat that I'd experienced that day, he must have thought I was a bit of a lunatic. He was extremely welcoming though and made me feel at home straight away and offered us some refreshments but I had to refuse because I wanted to get a swim in before settling in for the night.
I absolutely couldn't wait to get to my room that night - I was feeling absolutely shattered - so shattered that I found myself trying to get in the wrong room!! My room was Silver Birch and it was beautiful ,so much so that the next day I stayed in it ALL day to recover from my week in the sun. i had a piece of welcome cake waiting for me too which was woofed down with a lovely cuppa.
I felt really at home here at Beach Lodge. Faith assured me that anything I needed I only had to ask and it wouldn't be any trouble. i really needed to hear that as I was feeling quite done in.I loved the big bath in the bathroom which i part filled with cold water to cool me down! In fact i loved absolutely EVERYTHING at Beach Lodge including the breakfasts' which I couldn't get enough of!
This is one of the best B&B's I have stayed in and I shall be returning when down in...
Read moreWe stayed at Beach Lodge for a week in August 2022 and had a really lovely holiday. Beach Lodge is a real gem with amazing hosts, Casper and Ellie and the rest of the friendly team there. Breakfast choices were excellent and tasty including full English, breakfast baps (veg options available), omelette, waffles, pancakes, toast and cereals. Also fresh fruits and natural yogurt. Room was beautifully decorated and airy. Large bed, tea and coffee making facilities. Biscuits and also a lovely cake or cookie left in your room everyday ready for when youâre back from your day out. There are no usb or shaver points so make sure you bring your adapters. Walk in shower with two shower head types. Nice shower gel etc. All public areas and rooms are immaculately clean. Itâs a great location with nice quiet sandy beaches just a few minutes away. There are 4 parking spaces in the front but there is plenty of free parking on the road if needed. We will be back.
I dialysed at KC dialysis which was brilliant and only a 2 minute walk from Beach Lodge. Casper is aware of potassium restrictions which was...
Read moreThis is a well run B&B. The owners, Casper and Elisabetta, took over the accommodation in 2020, and they made renovations between 2021 and 2022.
We stayed in the Cedar Lodge, an annex at the back of the main garden with its own private space. The lodge, with a strong wooden theme, was a good size for a couple, and it was very clean and modern.
Every day, we were provided with a baked good. We had: chocolate chip cupcake, orange cake, coconut cupcake and some sort of coconut chocolate bar. The orange cake was by far the best. I'm not a massive fan of coconut but I appreciate these touches so I ate them anyway.
There is parking for 4 cars, including 2 EV chargers. When full, I found there was ample free street parking (end June).
The B&B is conveniently located near the coast and beach. In the other direction, it's just a 5-10 minute walk to the high street, which has many restaurants, bars and takeaways. On one evening, we got a takeaway and Casper was happy to let us eat in the dining room and use their crockery and cutlery.
Overall we were satisfied with our stay and would...
