Harbour View — Hotel in Great Britain

I can't say enough good things about staying at the Harbour View Guest House. Dilys McDougall is such a kind, accommodating host. She is available should you need her, yet she is never intrusive. The guesthouse is lovely - very clean and comfortable. My husband and I stayed there overnight after taking the train to Oban from Glasgow. We needed a place to stay before catching the ferry to Isle of Coll the next morning. Harbour View is just a very short walk from both the train station and ferry terminal. We also enjoyed walking around Oban that evening, where there are many restaurants and shops. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well. Dilys had a wonderful breakfast waiting for us at 5am the next morning to ensure that we caught the early ferry in time. You really can't go wrong staying here - the price is great, and the hospitality is top-notch. My husband and I are already talking about coming back to spend time in Oban, and we will definitely stay at Harbour...

Great little find. Ideally located to all transportation. And the beautiful town/views and people of oban. Very clean slept exceptionally well not noisy at all considering the location and I had the windows open. Firm clean very comfortable bed. Well stocked complmentry tray in room each day tea coffee etc. Room cleaned tidied and fresh towels etc. There is also a lounge tv and great little library. with yet another complimentary drinks tray.|||Charming and we'll informed bb owner Mrs Mc Dougell was really helpful on all transport and places to visit. Breakfast is served from 5am onwards to suit you. And comprehensive. Tea coffee fruit juice. Fresh fruit various yoghurt cereal toast full cooked breakfast served how you like it. She really is a saint. I still don't know why I left lol. Yet still managing to keep a professional distance. I would definitely return and recommend this bb...

What a great find! Great access to the rail/ferries and town. Don’t be put off by the vintage style - I promise it will grown on you quickly.||Charming old fashioned little bed and breakfast run by a lovely lady who looks after the guests with well judged maternal attention. Just the right amount of service, not in your face like some more contrived establishments. Breakfast is very good; cooked to order and tasty, with a large varied selection of healthy options. The room itself, bathroom and public rooms were all scrupulously clean. Bedding was fresh and looked hand pressed. Slept well in an old fashioned bed with comfortable mattress.||You genuinely come away feeling like you’ve stayed at a family...
