We stayed here 16 years ago & it was outstanding. However, new owners have let it go to ruin. Untidy garden & frontage, lack of care. The room I'd booked with mountain view & balcony had apparently had a leak the night before. On the day of arrival I received an email saying they'd had tried to contact me, funny that, no voicemail or missed calls. A drunken person had ripped the radiator off the wall the night before! We were given room 4 on the ground floor, on first view it looked OK. It was like a freezer inside & smelt damp so we put it down to the leak & no heating. We went upstairs to use the communal kitchen & balcony for the views, guess what that was closed off due to leak. Complete lie by the owner, it was clearly out of bounds for a while as it had a new door fitted, an awful ugly door too. It looked like a house of multiple occupancy, of which I have seen a few in my job. Owner messaged saying there is milk in the fridge at the top of the stairs! Thanks! Disappointed ith the room chsnge & other ussues I asked for a refund for the 2nd night & I'd find elsewhere. Refunded with no apology, i was just Thankful I didn't have to endure 2 nights. It was at this point we found soiled bedding, leaking u bend in bathroom, due to poor & cheap repair, disgusting bathroom, rats & rubbish down the side of house, black tape coveting switches the list goes on. See pics. We had the worst sleep ever! It was easter BH & we had nowhere else to go. 4am woken up by another guest yakking on her phone outside! Even faulty towers is better than here. Do not book. I messaged the owner with attached pics & I've had no reply. You should be ashamed! You are clearly using pics put on the websites by the old & lovely owners The Dolans.

A friend and I had the most lovely weekend. This bed and breakfast was homely and immaculately presented throughout. Breakfast was incredible and Tracey and her husband where the perfect hosts. I can not wait to come back, there where so many beautiful little touches (the view from our balcony being one!) that put this bed and breakfast on top of my list of weekend getaways. Thank you so much. 💜

When we arrived the room was like a refrigerator. Not very clean as well. The biggest issue we had when we asked about the breakfast the owner informed us that is not included. But when we done the booking was included. It is actually against the law to mislead customer. So I'm going to report it!!!

Fab! Arrived early afternoon, after checking that we could check in before 3pm, we were given instructions on how to access the lodge/ room for check in. On arrival we were greeted by the owner. very friendly nice guy, who told us how to get in, where to park; make ourselves at home and left us to it - perfect. did leave contact details if we needed him! Our room was lovely , clean and spacious. tea coffee and hot chocolate and a kettle. en suite shower and double bed with a scenic view. and it certainly was. we ventured from the hotel and ended up in llandudno - very expensive taxi ride back! |at around 3/4 am this morning WOW the view of the sky from the room. opened the curtains and literally felt like we could see the whole sky. it was truly spectacular and then this morning the view through the mountains is lovely too- very lord of the rings esque views everywhere! we thoroughly enjoyed the visit and location, just remember to future travellers to check the correct place to park as we didn't and one of the neighbours was waiting for us in the morning to tell us off 😂 so we hope we didn't get the owner in any bother apologies we did think that was the car park. hope to visit again over summer. thanks for a fab stay. oh and the bed is so COMFY. i need that mattress in...

Two friends and I recently had a wonderful stay here for some hiking in Snowdonia. The facilities are great and incredibly well-priced for the quality and comfort they provide. The location is superb – about a 10-minute walk to the main town centre, so close to everything yet still peaceful, and the balcony offered some lovely views of the mountains, which was a pleasure to wake up to.

However, what really set this experience apart, was Phil, the host. He was beyond helpful and went out of his way to ensure every detail of our stay was smooth and perfect at every opportunity. From friendly recommendations to his prompt assistance with any requests or needs we had, Phil made us feel right at home.

We had two unforeseen circumstances in the lead up to our trip and so unfortunately, we had to postpone - it speaks to Phil’s character that he made no qualms about this and was totally accommodating, personable and generously hospitable despite any hassle we were causing him. We’d give him more than 5 stars if we could and we most certainly will be staying again! Cheers mate!

So, I thoroughly recommend Maes-y-Garth – it was an...
