My boyfriend and I were visiting the Eden Project nearby and booked a Thursday to Sunday stay.||We were so impressed! Due to the travel times we weren't going to arrive until late at night (10pm) and this wasn't an issue for the lovely and friendly owner as she still allowed us to check in and welcomed us in and showed us around. ||There were lots of tea and coffee in the room (us being stereotypically British we judge a place on this), bottled water and some lovely cakes too. The room is so clean! And has a towel heater rail which we worshipped after a day in the rain during our stay. There's a fan too for humid nights and a television which the owner provides a selection of DVDs and books to keep you occupied. There's lots of info in the room on activities, days out and places to eat nearby and vouchers to use for days out that can be used locally to get discounts and that we were also grateful for given that Cornwall can be an expensive place to visit.||The owner gave us lots of recommendations on places to see and eat and had a great knowledge of nearby places.||We decided rather than be cheeky and keep asking for more milk for our tea and coffee we would buy some, not considering how hot the room would get during the day so we kept it buy the window in the hope that it would keep it cool. On our return, the owner had marvouslously put an ice pack on our milk to keep it cool for us!||I cannot thank Mountview enough for such a lovely stay and making our weekend even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it and stay again.||Great price for a lovely stay!||The only issue that cannot be helped is the very steep drive leading up to the B and B which sometimes can be difficult to park on (if you're not great with reversing like me, however confident drivers shouldn't...
Read moreI came to Cornwall to see its stunning landscape and beautiful gardens and chose this B&B for my 4-night-stay. It is more than I have expected. My room was very clean and comfortable, I instandly felt like home. The landlady is incredibly friendly and forthcoming and eager to help with every little issue. Breakfast is delicious and more than one can eat. Every room has its own bathroom (very clean!) a telly, a hairdryer, drinking water bottles, a kettle for coffee and even a converter for European-English electricity (chargers). I love it! This place is highly...
Read moreI stayed here for 2 nights and found it very convenient for getting to the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also a lesser known garden: Pinetum on the outskirts of St Austell. Unfortunately I didn't really do justice to the well-prepared and generous breakfasts! The room itself was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would say is it was a bit noisy being right next to the main road. Otherwise no complaints at all and I would...
