The premier Inn at Filton is a comfortable enough place to stay, with rennovated rooms and comfy beds as always. It gets marked down based purely on the Brewer's Fayre pub next door where breakfast is served. We went there for a couple of drinks in the afternoon and while the staff were friendly, they were incredibly slow. One of the ales was off (as in unavailabile while a fresh barrel settled) and the other was off (as in it tasted of vinegar). Maybe I shouldn't be complaining about it, but when we went back there the following day for breakfast it got worse. When I arrived for breakfast in the morning I paid for it, ordered by bacon and poached eggs and was seated promptly. I got a coffee and a glass of orange juice and waited. Half an hour later my breakfast arrived with the two most overdone poached eggs I have ever seen but I ate it anyway. I went back to get a refill of the orange juice but it was all gone, as was the apple juice. I went to get a coffee but the machine had run out of beans. It was 10am. I went back to the table where another member of our party arrived having just ordered a full English. Over an hour later, and the coffee machine had been refilled with beans but had run out of milk and the juices had still not been refilled. I decided to have the world's flattest croissant and still my friend was without his full English. It was hotter in there than it was outside by a considerable margin and they only seemed to have 2 girls serving. That being said, I never saw them in the same room at the same time so maybe it was just one? All in all, awful breakfast, poor service. Go ahead and use the premier Inn if all our want is a place to sleep. If you're looking for food in the morning though,...

We hardly slept all night as the rooms were literally like ovens as there were restrictors on the windows so unable to open them any further than a few inches, and the fans supplied were totally inadequate. The temperature in my husbands and my room was 32.5 degrees and my sisters was 31.5 as the fan supplied to her was a little bigger and freestanding. I am a regular user of premier inn and this month of July alone have spent over £500, my stays are usually great and I have no complaints but in this instance what a stay, surely it’s a health and safety issue, and my sister was unwell the next day. I took photographs of the temperature gauges in both rooms and obtained details of where to complain officially but as yet have heard nothing back from premier inn, not even an acknowledgment of my e mail. Shocking...
Read moreWe stayed in a nice, clean, modern, refurbished room but it was on a 2nd floor and on a hot summer day there was 33 °C in our room, we couldn't open the windows fully (safety standards). They gave us a small fan (the effort is appreciated), but it only made our eyes swallen, we couldn't sleep much. The hotel staff was ok - some of them nice, kind, helpful, some of them couldn't care less. The breakfast next morning was ok, but not the best we've had. The people at the restorant weren't working organised or effectively, we didn't feel their hospitality, felt like they didn't pay any attention to customers, we had to hunt them down for interaction after 10 min of waiting at the front "wait here" sign. Not sure if 90% of them had a bad day at 9 am already or this is the norm, but this was a terrible first impression. So even if it's a last minute trip - like this was - we'll never stay with them again, you can get a lot better...
