Stayed here over the holidays. I have stayed here before though some time ago. The rooms vary.. some have chaise longue couch which can be used as another bed, the disabled room has a lower bed & walk in shower.. and some rooms feel slightly bigger than others. Its standard for there to be bathrooms ie with a bath in the other rooms & the bed with the purple light in the top of the head board comes standard. The beds comfortable. There's a good set-up for the TV also where the plug-ins are in the wall if you want to connect an HDMI or AV cables to watch something from your laptop.
Most of the staff overall are friendly & helpful. There was a staff member called Dan who was extremely helpful and went above & beyond to assist me when I needed something or laundry taken care of etc. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and it's always good to come across staff members who are dedicated to providing good customer service. There is a female manager who's seemed to forget what customer service is & would make a better hospital matron. I spent a good amount of money staying at this hotel & I didn't appreciate the way she spoke down to me when I decided to extend my stay a couple of times. Also very militant about their 12pm check out time. They have a strange inefficient system here where if you extend your stay they dont seem to be able to look on their computer system first before disturbing you and expect you to come downstairs and re-check in. Your room key card will stop working also if you do this hence part of the re check in..
The hotel also has an 'interesting' policy about asking/noting your nationality when you check in. I've travelled around the world and stayed in places much nicer than this who've never asked so I've no idea what thats about. Makes me wonder how that might make some non-English people feel.
The hotel does have good restaurant.. a Brewers Fayre with a breakfast buffet (not included with room) & they have a Carvery on Sundays. There is a decent regular menu also and if you have a blue light card they offer a discount.
The location of the hotel is convenient for the local shops, food places & cinema. There's also a big Tesco a short walk away and its close to local nightlife. If you're visiting military its also close to the bases. I would stay here...

We arrived around 14.10 and left the next morning around 09.00. for the pleasure of that 19-hour stay it cost us £115.00! Yes, £115. I've sent a request for the reason for this to Premiere Inn. So far - no reply - I really thought that customer loyalty went both ways.
May 2018: Back again. Still no complaints - only kudos. We met the lovely, bubbly June again who always makes our stay that little bit warmer and friendlier. Thank you, June. December 2017: Here we are again. H and I are of an age that we're quite fussy about where we stay. This Premier Inn ticks all the boxes so we keep coming back. The staff are lovely and the rooms kept to a high standard. We'll be back.
May 2017: We returned to this Premiere Inn and, once again, it didn't disappoint. We stayed from the 9th for 3 nights (£196) in room 312 (a great view of the car park). This time around we had no trouble parking and the sun was shining. We were greeted by June and her colleague who were really friendly and helpful. The facilities were everything we remembered and everything we needed. If I could have got the shower in my suitcase I'd have been off with it :). Another excellent stay.
November 2016: This hotel ticks all the boxes - except one. It's clean, it has all the expected facilities, everything works as it should, and the staff are lovely. There is a great choice of eateries around it and a large Tesco store just across the way. The only problem I found is that parking close to the hotel - I had a large case and it was pouring with rain - is...
