After a little research selected Rosemount for a short much needed break for some fresh air & a couple of days for some nice walks. ||Excellent communication with owners before leaving just to make sure everything was ok due to recent local restrictions where I live. ||Everything was fine & checked & I was provided with instructions to let myself in & to the room upon arrival to try & ensure contactless arrival. Owners had gone to great trouble with attention to all details to ensure maximum safety. Breakfast lists were in room for duration of stay to be handed in with your choices to be brought to each guests doors at requested time. Rooms are not entered into by staff during duration of stay & bags provided for rubbish & change of linen etc. & everything works well. ||Premises itself is a typical large Lakeland guest house in a good location on Lake Road midway between Bowness & Windermere. ||Everything kept spotlessly clean & large bed was very comfortable & I slept very well during my 3 night stay. Shower cubicle was a little small but no major issue.||During a couple of brief chats I found the owners to be very friendly & only too willing to help with any local information such as dining out etc.||I would certainly recommend Rosemount as a Guest House choice & will hopefully go back during less...
Read moreRecently enjoyed a two night stay here, having stayed here last year in a single room this year I returned with my girlfriend for a short break in The Lake District. The room we stayed in was very clean, tidy, and nicely decorated, and comes with the usual facilities of a bed & breakfast room : tea/coffee making, a small wall mounted TV, free wifi. The modern bathroom is excellent. The cooked breakfast is very tasty, in addition to this there are cereals, fruit, fruit juice, toast, and a choice of tea or coffee. Location wise the guesthouse is roughly 8-10 mins walk to the centre of Windermere, and around 10-15 mins if you wish to walk down to Bowness-on-Windermere, so it is ideally situated for you to enjoy the facilities and attractions of either. If you are arriving by car there is a guest carpark at the front of the property, for guests arriving via public transport the train station is approximately a 15mins walk from there to the B&B, there is a bus stop close by to the guesthouse where you can catch the very good open top 599 bus service to Brockholes visitor centre, Ambleside, Grasmere, and then back to Windermere or Bowness-on-Windermere. We both loved our stay at the Rosemont, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on a future visit...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I stayed here over the bank holiday weekend. ||Check in time was at 15:00. However we arrived at around 11 am and Louise and Andy were already hard at work cleaning our room. They were able to let us check in at 12pm which was really helpful for us. ||Nothing was too much trouble for Louise and Andy. They were so helpful! They gave us plenty of suggestions for walks we could do over the weekend, and went out of their way to print maps out for us. ||The guest house is situated right in between Windermere town and Bowness-on-Windermere. Making it very convenient to park the car at the house and have a very easy 10/15 minute walk to either town. ||We stayed in room number four, which was huge! With a four poster bed and a lovely en suite. It was nice returning to this spacious room after a night out or a long walk. ||Breakfast was continental. It was brought to our room at a chosen time. There was a nice dining area downstairs, however I think due to COVID it was shut. The warm croissants were lovely. ||If you’re visiting Windermere I would definitely recommend staying here. Simply for the lovely hosts if nothing else! We felt so at home. Thanks for a...
