We have just returned from a road trip around north wales, during which we spent two nights at the Wylfa. The accommodation was clean but smelled damp, the location is good just a short walk to the harbor and itâs amenities. |The hotel was let down by the breakfast that was provided which was poor given the price per night we were paying.|We knew before hand that it was going to be continental breakfast, but a paper bag with contents given little thought was not good enough. No fresh tea or coffee provided with the breakfast no jam for the single croissant each, a low fat yogurt which tasted of artificial sugar. A cheap orange carton a choice of banana or apple and an alpen bar, no cereals or milk.|During the road trip every other venue we stayed at provided quality choice, fresh drinks hot and cold, and a proper choice of continental breakfast or full English.|Either delivered to the room or served in a designated area for the two of us, if there were ample space to do so.|The Wylfa owners could and should do better even in these trying times. Didnât expect the world but expected much better...
Read moreWe have just returned from a weekend stay at The Wylfa and it was lovely. In spite of everything being a little strange at the moment the host, Debbie was very helpful indeed. Gutted that there wasnât a hot breakfast but what we did get was enough to set us up for the day. |We stayed in the garden room (room 6) and it was spacious, incredibly clean and the bed was comfortable. If I was nit picking the only thing I would say was that the room smelled a little musty. It looks as though the building has been an out building at some point but itâs been cleverly transformed. Maybe a reed diffuser of some kind would help to mask the smell but if youâre reading this, please donât be put off by my comments. |The bathroom was spotless but the shower lacked some power. Could only guess that this would be as itâs not in the main building. |Overall ..... a lovely stay in difficult circumstances and the hosts are doing everything they can to make sure you are safe and have a good time. Would definitely...

A joke, half empty soap dispensers in both toilet and shower room, minimum. 4 sachets of coffee, welcome pack informed us check in 2.00 o clock, no security door, and to Finnish this sorry report,, we ordered a simple breakfast of 2 SOFT poached eggs with a minimal of the other offerings, only to find all eggs were overdone and as the waitress serving all of 4 tables said as she cleared our table, 'was everything All right,, the uneaten eggs being proof of her optimism, and on hearing me say, no the eggs were overdone, she happily replied,' yes but you enjoyed the rest of it! ' couldn't wait to go, especially after being informed that on leaving @10.30,take your...
