Abersoch Harbour Beach — Attraction in Llanengan

We made the mistake of thinking that the main beach behind Abersoch would be a great place for a day on the beach, how wrong we were! The whole place is dominated by people with big 4x4s pulling boats and jetskis, it's awful. Overcrowded car parks with people blocked in, vehicles and trailers driving all over the beach (they'll drive over your toe nails if you're not careful) , jetskis either cluttering the shoreline or creating noise and pollution. Just hideous. It only gets two stars because it'd be lovely without noise, vehicles and people showing off what they've got. I didn't realise so many people won a speedboat...

Beautiful beach, lots of water sports, car park not adequate size for popularity of the area, with double yellow lines, narrow streets if its full there is nowhere other than the approach toad to Abersoch, where there are pay and display machines, its a pretty long walk back to and from the beach from there though. Dog friendly on the right of slipway, there is a small shop selling refreshments on the slipway, toilets and an outdoor shower to rinse the seawater from your wet suits. Have been going to Abersoch for at least 50 years and this was the worst holiday. The two places we stayed at had noisy building work both in and outside the buildings. In fact Abersoch itself has turned into a building yard at the moment. Hope things improve but I think the price of everything is too expensive except for footballers wives. The meanest thing was the closing of the Warren Beach just for the rich Haulfryn people. My family used to have lovely holidays there! It's a beauty spot for heavens sake.
