Poor service 1/10

Food was ok but had an awful experience where young server noted the wrong meal ordered and we got a veggie burger instead of a lamb. When we explained, she said do you want to keep the chips before she took away (the expectation being to scrape the chips off the plate with our bare hands).

This seemed unprofessional and she said don't worry you can keep the plate. Offered a free drink or pudding as an apology but then proceeded to charge us for 2x meals as we'd eaten some of the wrong meal whilst waiting for the right one to come.

Would've happily stayed and ordered more drinks but after speaking to the manager felt she had a poor attitude, saying that we'd ordered the veggie burger! Any meat eater will know you don't order a mushroom burger...

Very few vegan options. Bread and chips were lovely. However we asked for a vegan feta salad from the starter section but served with the mains. They miss heard me and served a vegan feta burger. So we had to wait for the salad and then they charged the price of a main, £14.95 when asked for a starter but served with the mains! (Bearing in mind some of the meat burgers were the same price!) And most of it was mint which shouldn’t be more than a sprinkle on top! The vegan dessert was the same price but half the size of the normal! Then they took three attempts to get the receipt right!

So an overall awful experience and wouldn’t recommend to anyone with allergy or dietary requirements as would...

Good food, great venue, arrogant and disrespectful management. Complete joke.

The night ended with the a bill for three mains, for two people, with no deductions, and a manager trying to substantiate through their floor staff why I had to pay full price after being served the wrong food. We were told “not to worry” as they left the food at the table for me to pick at for 15 minutes while they corrected their mistake and brought what I ordered. Nice touch, as the whole point of going out is to eat together.

They had also offered free drinks or deserts due to their mistake, which they didn’t deduct from the bill until I went to contest it. Poor experience due to bad...
