Very busy Thursday lunch time. Lots of people in groups of all sizes but this is a big place. They have a front terrace that was rather crowded but there is also a large beer garden and a courtyard with seating inside and out. They, also have the whole inside of the pub with indoor seating. Our food was served surprisingly quickly. It was hot, fresh and of reasonably good quality. Unfortunately their prices are a bit steep given the fact that they are actually serving what is relatively bog standard pub grub. The Vaynol's major attraction was that they do take food orders up to 3pm. Some nearby eaterys claim to serve to 3pm but actually don't try ordering after 2.30pm Worth a visit.

Visited this venue today and was not disappointed at all! Never known a public house/restaurant be as pet friendly so very accommodating. I was served by 2 wonderful young ladies today I believe names were allie n molly may I say the are a credit to your staff base! Very pleasant great to chat with permanent smiles and very efficient workers. Well done girls. The interior is very sleek modern and spotless toilets were flawless and the outside area is fab with great hanging baskets and excellent sized beer table/benches. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there 5 star from me all round. Didn't eat as we already had but wish we had given the gorgeous pizzas we saw people devouring.

Quite an ordinary bar when entering ( Dog friendly - in the left hand side of the bar only ). I can imagine it will get busy very quickly during high season , with limited places to sit inside . Staff were very friendly and accommodating, however , drinks prices were eye watering. Great place to stop when weather is clement to sit outside and people watch .

Didn't eat so can't comment on the food. Place was clean, tidy and well serviced with regards to glass & plate collection. It's fair to say the owners have and instill in their staff a good degree of customer service awareness The placed, understandably, seemed to have many more holidaymakers than locals (Read into that your positive or negative connotations regarding that demographic). The front beer garden unfortunately had no green stuff, being at the front of the pub on a concreted area (Not unlike every other pub in the town centre) - This outside front area was very packed (Given the glorious weather) so was a bit less organised than the interior. To be fair though it's a pretty-ish town so looking out over the street wasn't bad at all. If you don't fancy an urban setting to your al-fresco experience there's a large more traditional beer garden at the back as well, with as much grass as you'd want. Given the general serenity of the town, no doubt a quieter place to have a drink. Not a bad place...

0 stars if possible.

One of the worst pubs I’ve ever been to. The bouncer with grey hair openly refers to people from Liverpool as ā€œbin dippersā€ and ā€œvictimsā€ – disgusting language that has no place anywhere, never mind in a so-called family pub. When challenged, the owner tried to lie and claim he didn’t even know the man, despite him having worked there for over 10 years. Insulting and dishonest.

The manager is no better – shouting across a packed bar at someone using the disabled toilet, ā€œyou don’t look disabled.ā€ That sort of behaviour is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of respect or awareness for hidden disabilities.

To top it all off, the prices are extortionate – Ā£6.50 for a pint of Guinness in a place that treats customers with contempt.

Toxic atmosphere, discriminatory staff, and overpriced drinks. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Avoid...

Food was lovely here - I had a tuna melt panini which was very well-prepared and served with fresh, crisp salad and tasty coleslaw. The missus went for a chicken caesar salad which featured huge chunks of well-cooked and tasty chicken. She was delighted with its presentation.

The kids were happy with their choices of a cheese and bacon burger and a cheese and ham panini, which was wolfed down by our hyperactive three-year-old, who normally has the attention span of a goldfish whilst eating out.

Staff were incredibly polite and attentive, I don't often tip to be fair but I did on this occasion because they were young ladies who were clearly doing their utmost to give their customers a pleasant lunchtime experience, which is all that I require in order to post a...
