I had the absolute displeasure of visiting Après Sea in Abersoch, and I must say, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any establishment. This is because of a horribly rude blonde staff member who clearly has no concept of customer service. From the moment we walked in, her attitude was appalling—condescending, dismissive, and just plain rude. She acted as if we were a complete inconvenience, rolling her eyes and snapping at us and other customers for no reason.
The venue might be charming, but it was completely ruined by this old blond lady's attitude towards me and my party. She couldn’t be bothered to answer simple questions and seemed more interested in chatting with her colleagues than serving customers. I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a place I’m paying good money to enjoy.
It’s shocking that a place with so much potential would allow someone like this to work there and by the looks of the reviews, I'm not the only one to pick up on this.
There are plenty of better options in Abersoch where you’ll actually be treated...
Read moreWe’ve had a few visits now and eaten lunch there twice so in a position to give a pretty objective review. It has a relaxed bistro / wine-bar feel to it. Decent draught beer offering and a nice glass of wine. On a decent day the outside space is sunny and sheltered. The people that run it are also very pleasant and relaxed. The food we’ve had has been great the Cesar Salad is fantastic, fresh, crisp and not drowned in dressing with the right amount of chicken bacon and croutons. What is really nice are the chickpea fries - I must have a go at making those myself. It must have been pretty tough for the owners they opened mid-pandemic but have given it a good go. I miss the old Indian restaurant who’s site it took over ( with one incumbent in between) and I think there is an opening for a curry/house in the village but Apres Sea is a nice and welcome addition to...
Read moreNot the place to go if you want friendly service! Have always found the landlady in here extremely rude but went in last night and witnessed what can only be described as her being completely abusive towards a customer. Witnessed the incident from the start in which the customer had not done anything wrong and was just trying to buy a drink, to which the landlady caused a huge scene and started shouting and swearing at him unnecessarily, it was really embarrassing for both her and the customer who seemed completely mortified and shook up from the incident. Had witnessed her doing shots behind the bar prior to this so can only assume she’d had abit too much to drink and wanted to pick a fight with somebody. It was completely bizarre behaviour, can’t comprehend why you would set up a bar if you have such shocking people skills and want to bully...
