Rang up to see if I could book and was told that I couldn't but there was plenty of room but suggested I came a little earlier than the 7.30 I had requested as the kitchen shut at 8pm. Anyway arrived at just after 6.30 to be told there was no room but that we were welcome to sit and wait. As it happens a table became available immediately. We sat down unsure whether we should wait to order our drinks or go to the bar. 10 minutes and no service I went in search of the answer and someone came to take our drinks order stating that someone would be back shortly to take our food order. 15 minutes later I once again had to go and find someone to take our food order. As we had travelled during the day and 3 of our party were in their 80s we order 2 x mains, 1 x starter as a main and 1 x child burger - the waitress did state that she wasnt used to running our area. After about 20 minutes the 2 mains arrived, it not the starter and the small dinner. We had noticed that a burger had been served to the large table next to us and that a starter had been sent back to the kitchen so we realised what had happened. The error was rectified quite quickly and didn't have a massive impact on our meal. We wanted to order more drinks and had to go and find a member of staff. These arrived in reasonable time along with a pudding menu. Once again we had to go find someone to serve us and were told at that the kitchen may now be closed. They did go and check and we did recieve our desserts. When being presented with the bill by what I assume was a manager/owner I was very upfront to say that the food was very good but that the service on the day was far from acceptable - please note that all the staff were helpful and polite - and that i was therefore a) unable to pay a tip and b) would be writing a review that would not be complimentary on the service. The person we spoke to accepted our criticism but explained that they had lost 30 students the night before and had not been able to replace them. Fair point but I make these counter arguments. Most college students don't go back for another week and even if they are going back ¡) they aren't going back until Monday ¡¡) you have had plenty of notice they are going back and should have put plans in place to mitigate it months ago. Also whilst chasing around for someone to serve us it was noted that 4 members of staff were sorting cutlery for the next day. It is a shame that the staff who obviously worked very hard to try and cover for shortages ended up not being rewarded for their hard work because management hadn't put a proper plan in place to mitigate for the staff leaving. As a business owner if I don't plan properly my business will ultimately fail. What should have been a great meal was marred by poor staff management rather than quality of...

Called in on a Monday night from a day out on the coast, Aberdaron and Porthnor. Ordered two meals, veggie burger with fries and coleslaw, Pan fried salmon and quinoa salad. Ordered a pint of ‘beer’ and a bottle of Stella. The child who served me looked about twelve, wasted half a pint serving my beer which went in the slops tray, had to ask for a half pint glass for the Stella for my wife! Poor service at least! Then the food was delivered by the lady who took the money beforehand for the food. She had the charm of Eva Braun!! My veggie burger was over cooked, probably on the weekend. The chips were also reheats from the weekend menu! The coleslaw looked like a fried egg , probably a couple of days old! The pan fried salmon was greasy used far too much oil and said oil had leaked over all of the salad making it an oily mess! If it hadn’t been for the fact that we had already paid for this appalling food, it would have gone back, pronto. But who would have cared? This is one of the worst meals I have ever paid for and one of the poorest quality pubs I have ever been in! A word to the wise don’t eat here on a Monday evening and expect fresh food,it ain’t going to happen. In fact , do yourself a favour and don’t eat here at all. Save your money and...

The worst customer service we’ve experienced for a long time. We booked a table for 2.30pm 17.09.2023 in order we had a Sunday Roast Dinner each, we booked to be seated where dogs are allowed. We arrived about 2.25pm and were shown to our table and the pleasant waitress asked if we’d want drinks, when she promptly returned with our drinks she enquired if we were ready to order food, to which we responded “just 2 Roast Dinners please”. At 2.55pm my wife asked a waitress “can you give us an idea how much longer food would be as we had paid parking until 3.50pm”, she also said, “you should have been informed when you arrived, we have a 45 minute delay on food from when your order is taken, in fact she then said “it’ll be around 20 minutes from now”. We were livid, if we’d been informed on arrival we could have made a decision there and then, as it happens we would have paid a little more to extend our car park fee, but instead, as we were both fuming, I quickly, but nicely said”no thanks”. I did ask…”do you not think it’d be a sensible idea to warn customers before they ordered a drink?”, she just shrugged her shoulders and repeated “apologies for that”. To be fair, it wasn’t her fault but that was her final...

Very difficult to rate Tuds as it was shut on the Monday we arrived.Somebody met us to give us our room key and that was it .Our room was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The inns in a great position, looks good and has extra space outback.I imagine during the summer months the place is rocking. The Lion in Criccieth opened up the bar for guests only why couldn't St Tudds? With the carpark now having a teepee on it there's a bit of a walk from the main carpark which is just around the corner. At the moment there's a shortage of staff in Abersoch which is a shame,it's a great summer place to visit.

Called in the week before saw plates of lovely presented food being taken out to tables so we decided to try it Saturday 20/9/25 - was not disappointed- yes it was busy as the weather outside was horrendous but the atmosphere inside was great / Busy - friendly attentive staff - we only needed a table for two and the lovely bar staff sorted us one out. Ordered seafood linguine and steak pie - I was dubious but I was pleasantly surprised it was delicious - my partner thoroughly recommended the linguine and said he would definitely have it again See you next season St Tudwells 👍

Came here for lunch yesterday, just so happened that it was their first day of lunch service since reopening last week after their refurbishment. What a beautiful place! Me and my wife were greeted by friendly happy staff. The manager friendly, and was absolutely amazing and happy to help. We had fish and chips and they were delicious! We saw other diners foods that looked amazing too (the burgers looked huge and yummy). Great value for money! Thanks for a great experience!
