One Coastguard Cottages — Hotel in Great Yarmouth

Stayed at One & Two Coastguard Cottages over the early May 2023 Bank Holiday (we were in Two and our friends in One) and had a fantastic time! The décor of Two Cottages was both tasteful and modern (kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms) but also very comfortable plus the location was spot on for not only accessing the beach but the local amenities. The properties were also well secure - gated access and both had their own enclosed area (great for our dogs). Managed to see all the local coastline attractions including a lovely visit to Horsey Bay Beach to see the seal colony based there, Cromer, Wroxham and not forgetting a local pub called Never Turn Back - very quirky. Although only there for 4 nights/4 days it felt a lot longer. James the owner lives close by and was on hand to not only welcome us but also provide any assistance we required during our stay (thanks James). Our friends who were in One Cottages felt equally the same about their experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about staying at either Cottages - would also recommend booking direct with James on...

Lovely cottage! Amazing location! Super dog friendly! This is the second time we have stayed at One Coastguard Cottage and it definitely won't be the last! Everything is just 5 star! Right from the initial enquiry, booking process, communication with James and the actual stay itself. The cottage is lovely and comfy and cozy and has everything you need. The location is superb for the beach, literally open the back gate and you're on the beach!! Both gardens are totally secure for the doggies and it's great being able to chase the sun or the shade whatever you prefer! Beds are so comfortable and with fab sea views from every room upstairs. James is always on hand if you have any questions or queries and is a wealth of local knowledge and we have followed up on his recommendations and haven't regretted it! Ryan's fish shop is delicious and so is the Spicy Popadum Indian! We hired s boat from Phoenix Fleet at Potter Heigham on James recommendation and it was absolutely fantastic and dog friendly too!!! Definitely worth a trip! Adults, kids and dogs loved it! Cannot recommend this cottage...

Stayed here with my husband, son, daughter in law and grand-daughter. We stayed at number 1. A lovely, warm, welcoming and spacious 3 bed cottage. The property is modern and well kept with a lovely little front and back yard. Owner, Jimmy, lives next door and was very knowledgeable and honest about the local area. From seeing seals, boat rides and fish and chips all his recommendations were spot on. The cottage is perfectly located for access to the beach and walks to California and Great Yarmouth also for visiting areas of interest like Cromer, Horsey gap for seals and Horsey pump for windmill and boat ride, this is a National trust area and there was a lovely little cafe by the windmill. Norwich is also only 40 mins away which is a lovely little city. I would highly recommend this cottage for visiting the Norfolk area. Walking distance to the best chip shop ever and a great little bakery which does breakfast rolls and delicious...
