Spicy Papadum — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

2 x Pathia, 2 x Keeman Nan, 1 Onion Nan, were very good and no complaints from the 2 that ate them. The score marked low for the following reasons, often you get complimentory poppadom in Birmingham, but here you didn't, I am not so bothered about that as its a business and nothing is free rule applies, so for those reading the review take note when ordering. The starter Reshmee Kebab was VERY dry came with no salad or sauce very unusual. Egg Pilau - was not egg pilau delivery was wrong. Naga (Lamb) @£10.75 - whilst the sauce was very nice what was served WAS NOT LAMB, It was either Beef or Mutton, I am debating with myself if I should call trading standards about this, as if it was advertised as MEAT Naga then you take the risk and you eat what you get beef, mutton or what ever. Ordered from here whilst on a caravan holiday. We ordered mixed kebab starter, chicken tikka massala, lamb tikka karahi, bhindi curry, chapatis, pilau, egg pilau, poppadoms for an eye watering £53. I am English, my wife and my wife's friend that were staying with me are Indian. We asked for it to be made Indian/Apna/Desi style. I didn't expect it to be truly authentic but I did expect it to be atleast slightly tasty take away style food. But it came flavourless, filled out with onions and not much meat. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have visited some great restaurants around the world Im always looking for the WOW factor. Who would have thought the Spicy Papadum in little old caister would deliver. Tucked away in a side street. Small clean and friendly service Sensational Indian food at affordable prices. Super fresh nan and papadums and tasty well spiced curries. BYO alcohol which always helps control the price and they deliver! Best curry shop I have visited in years.
