Nice brand new hotel in Liverpool, part of the Accorr brand. On arrival there is a lovely entrance foyer, couple of storeys high inside, was met briefly on my arrival and checked into room 609. A small backing story to this, I had just flown 11 hours from Las Vegas to Heathrow, then drove to Liverpool, didn’t arrive/check-in until 9pm that night. Arriving in the room I was very impressed by the space and decor, room was extremely clean, and everything nice and new. Quickly discovered the app on the tv wouldn’t allow me to stream to my device, I wanted to grab a quick shower before bed to realise there was no shampoo in the dispenser, called down to be told there was no overnight maintenance, and some shower gel would be sent up (this would never arrive), in the end I showed with shampoo I had with me. Pretty disappointing start for a brand new hotel. Pros: USB sockets including USB-C, one of my bug bares in hotels, so glad to see these are provided offering maximum flexibility for devices. Cons: No fridge in the room, or any bottled water provided, for a hotel at this calibre, these are minimum requirements in my experience. I’ll be staying at the hotel again in the near future, hopefully they have ironed out these issues and have 24 hour main fence regardless if it’s a new hotel or not! Check-out was swift like checkin.

I stayed at the Novotel Paddington Village on Friday night and had a great experience from the moment we arrived until we left. The Paddington Village area is at the bottom of Edge Lane so very conveniently located for guests who are driving into Liverpool. It has a number of brand-new buildings and this hotel is one of them. There is a multi-storey car park nearby which charged us £13 for an overnight stay. The hotel has a lovely modern feel. The reception area is very spacious and has industrial pieces combined with natural elements. We were staying for our anniversary and were surprised to find a treat of delicious brownies in our bedroom. The room itself had a large comfortable bed and a chaise longue by the window. There were a very large TV, a kettle, a safe and a hair dryer in the room, which I would normally expect to find. There was also an iron and an ironing board. The walk-in shower was great and the Rituals toiletries smelled delicious. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choices, including fish, meats, cheese, cooked breakfast options, yoghurt, fruit, many types of cereal, pastries and different breads. I probably forgot a few things! The staff we interacted with were all very helpful, especially Felipe in reception. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a great night in Liverpool.

I had an enjoyable stay at the Novotel Paddington last night. The staff at checkin were really friendly and welcoming. They took time to explain where things were in the hotel such as the bar and resurant along with opening times. The room was very spacious. I'd booked a twin room as it was a little cheaper than a double despite it was just myself. The bed was comfortable and a selection of pillows was welcome. It was well equipped with a Smart TV, USB A and USB C charging ports and an ethernet connection at the desk. It also had a coffee machine along with coffee pods and a tea tray with bottle opener. The bathroom was also spacious enough and had a rainfall shower as well as one that could be pulled down. Both dinner and breakfast service was fantastic in the restaurant, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the entire menu and were conscious of people with allergens. The food was cooked to perfection, piping hot and very tasty. So much so I also had a dessert which was the icing on the cake. I'd highly recommend booking this hotel if you're looking to stay in Liverpool. I'll be sure to book again in the future.

An Unparalleled Stay: A Testament to Exceptional Hospitality

I rarely write reviews, but after an extended stay of over two months due to unforeseen circumstances, I feel compelled to highlight the truly exceptional experience this hotel provided. I have been a guest here before and a member of the hotel group for some time, but living at the hotel for an extended period has given me an entirely new appreciation.

From the moment I arrived, every member of staff demonstrated an unwavering commitment to making me feel welcome and at ease. A long-term stay comes with uncertainty, but the team here exceeded every expectation. Not only did they recognise and remember me, but they consistently engaged with genuine care, checking in on my day, following up on the progress of my apartment repairs, and making every interaction feel thoughtful and sincere. Their attentiveness has made a lasting impression, turning what could have been a challenging situation into an experience of comfort and reassurance.

No request was ever too much trouble, and on numerous occasions, staff went out of their way to ensure my comfort. What makes this particularly impressive is the consistency of this level of service across the entire team, from reception and hospitality to the breakfast staff and management. It is rare to find a hotel where every individual embodies such warmth, professionalism and dedication to excellence.

A special recognition goes to Mallory, whose outstanding attentiveness and thoughtful approach truly stood out. She not only remembered the finer details of my stay but anticipated my needs before I even voiced them, reinforcing the hotel’s collective dedication to exceptional service.

Beyond the outstanding hospitality, the hotel itself is superb. The breakfast offers a wide selection of high-quality options, prepared with great care and attention to detail. The restaurant is equally impressive, providing a dining experience that rivals city offerings. The rooms are impeccably maintained and thoughtfully equipped, featuring fresh towels, premium toiletries, plush beds, blackout curtains, sleek interiors and excellent showers with great water pressure and temperature control. Every aspect of the hotel has been designed to maximise comfort and convenience.

Having stayed in a breadth of hotels under the Accor umbrella, I can confidently say that this hotel not only meets but far exceeds expectations for a mid-scale property. In fact, it competes effortlessly with some of Accor’s luxury brands, delivering a level of service and attention to detail that is truly remarkable.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to every member of staff I had the pleasure of interacting with. Each of you deserves recognition for your exceptional customer service, professionalism, attentiveness and dedication. Every expectation was not just met but exceeded. This hotel sets a benchmark for true hospitality, and even though I live just a stone’s throw from the city centre, I look forward to returning simply to relive the outstanding experience you have created.

Thank-you...

A newish hotel so everything is well equipped and the core infrastructure is up to date. My main gripe was the water in the bathrooms is only luke warm, not sure if that's an eco thing or peak usage every time I needed it created a problem for the hotel... I boiled some water in the kettle to have a decent shave but the plug in the sink doesn't hold the sink contents either. The shower plug hole was blocked (I hate standing in an inch of dirty water while showering)...I removed the drain basket and the weird black mould within the drain cover and it sorted it. Minor niggles but I'll trade a really hot powerful shower that drains properly over most things. On the upside, this is the only hotel I've stayed in the UK where the room thermostat actually works accurately within a degree and the air flow is calm and silent. The doors don't slam, closing smoothly and they fit the frame without giant gaps underneath so the corridor noise was minimal (and the walls seem thick) - another pet hate of UK hotels. Beds are lovely and comfy. Room has a desk and chair you can actually use for a few hours of work. Parking isn't free though, you have to park a few buildings away and I couldn't figure out if you can come and go under the overnight tariff (I looked at parking in nearby streets but it looked a bit shady or for permit holders only). Staff are friendly and welcoming. We ate in the restaurant, decent food though the staff forgot one of the sides we ordered... Feels like they need a bit more attention to detail and more interest in serving the diners (even if it is say the end of the shift). Breakfast spread was very good and everything was always well stocked. Nice cutlery, crockery etc... Felt a much better experience than some budget hotels. I'd stay again if those niggles mentioned were...

I stayed a night at this fantastic space on the 8th of May, made all the more welcoming by its very courteous and hospitable staff. This is particularly relevant after the level of explicit and implicit racism and microaggressions I had experienced at the Weetwood Hall Conference and Centre in Leeds last month. ||All the staff I encountered here were very hospitable, kind, courteous and welcoming. As someone who was an ethical entrepreneur before I went back to University and was hugely emphatic about customer service, this was so refreshing to see. ||My room was very comfortable, well-decorated and offered a luxurious feel. A huge and special shout out to the incredible chefs in the kitchen - Chef Kunj, Chef Ashik and colleague (I am so sorry but I lost the chit of paper where I had written all of your names and I did not want to misspell your name). It was also great to meet folk from the state of Kerala, where my maternal grandmother was from. ||The food they served was comfort, love and passion on a plate - you could taste it and it was so nourishing after the long and exhausting journey I had. When food is served with dedication and passion, it always tastes different and as a family with strong taste buds, this was cooked to perfection - the fish was crunchy and the wedges not overly crispy. The food was balanced and my palate certainly enjoyed it. I appreciated Chef Kunj checking in with me about my gluten sensitivity and I have to say, these folk in the kitchen have been one of the most caring trio I have come across. They really care about the customers and service - so thank you so much for the conversations and for taking care of me. You really made a difference to my stay!||I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back another time, hopefully...
