Host Was Rude and Unreasonable

While the host was initially kind enough to allow us to stay despite being slightly under the required age, the experience quickly turned sour. She accused us of having a party when we did not, and became confrontational over simple 21st birthday balloons that we immediately popped when she objected.

She came to the apartment during my stay on the 2nd day at 01:00 am which is definitely out of hours because she apparently got a noise complaint which is ridiculous. She then lied and said she heard loud banging outside which was not the case. She came in and only saw two people. She then stated that she will return to the property at 4 am when the rest of the guests had gotten back to the property to kick us out.

She also threatened to withhold our deposit even though we left the property exactly as we found it — clean and undamaged. It felt like she tried to pressure us into removing our honest review in exchange for getting our deposit back, which was extremely uncomfortable. At one point, my 20-year-old sister was literally on her knees pleading not to be kicked out, even though we had done nothing wrong. Despite all the begging and pleading my sister did she continued to be unprofessional and said ‘I could birth you, you know’

On top of all of this, the person that came to check us in saw all the balloons in bags and had no issues with them.

The property itself also had several maintenance issues: broken door handles, broken blinds, and a balcony door that jammed so badly one of my friends got stuck outside for several minutes.

Terrible experience — unprofessional and uncomfortable stay

I would not recommend staying here. The host started off friendly but quickly became rude and accusatory. Check-in already took around 30 minutes, which was frustrating and set the tone for the rest of the stay.

We were respectful guests, left the place spotless, and caused no damage, yet she accused us of having a party, which was completely untrue. She came into the property around 1am and only 2/5 were at the property she said doors were banging when they were quietly sitting on the couch, I feel as though she does this in order to create charges or deny a refund of our deposit. She became angry over a few 21st birthday balloons, even though her business partner who checked us in had no qualms about the decorations and just said it’s alright just keep it clean. However we popped them immediately when she asked. Despite doing everything she requested, she threatened to withhold our deposit and made the situation extremely tense. It even reached the point where my 20-year-old cousin was on her knees begging for us not to be kicked out — an absolutely humiliating and unnecessary scene.

The property itself was in poor condition: broken door handles, damaged blinds, and a balcony door that jammed so badly one of us got stuck outside for several minutes. For the price we paid, the combination of poor maintenance and the host’s behavior made this one of the worst Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had.

Complaining about a gathering of five people which is exactly what we booked. Why do you have a listing for "up to 7 people" if you cannot even accomodate 5! AVOID at ALL costs. If I could give zero...

Though it is in very close proximity to Excel London, a walking distance, the experience of staying here was not good at all.

We booked three rooms with three ensuite bathrooms, but what we received were three bedrooms with only one ensuite bathroom and another bathroom to share. We had a program immediately after checking in, so we decided to proceed with the room as it was. The management was slow to respond and quite unhelpful throughout my stay. The apartment was filled with numerous broken items, suggesting a severe lack of maintenance. There was even a day when the electricity wasn't working, and I couldn't reach the house manager for assistance. Eventually, we had to wait until the Austin David office opened to have someone fix the issue. Overall, the room was in poor condition, with visible signs of wear and tear. Additionally, I couldn't adjust the hot water; it was too hot to take a normal bath. I would not recommend...
