Not worth it. Arrived and told there is no wi-fi. Reception blamed Virgin for the wifi. I asked whether my price will be discounted because of lack of wifi. Reception declined. I asked if I could speak with the manager, reception said there was no manager on shift. I asked if there was any assistant manager or a phone number where I could speak to anybody responsible. Recwption said no, that everybody had day off. Why did I made a fuss about lack of wifi? Because I needed to do some work and I wanted a hotel with wifi. Reception did say that there is a PC in the lobby with internet access. That is not feasible, nor comfortable or acceptable. I had to buy additional GB on my mobile then connect my laptop to my hotspot. Then I found out that breakfast doesn't start until 07:00. I had to catch a coach early in Victoria, so it meant I couldn't have breakfast. Any half decent hotel would start at 6am if not earlier. Again, I had booked a room with breakfast... The barhroom had a bad smell from the vent. Also, the room floor was unnecesarilly and annoyingly slippery. Floor not very clean either... Finally, condescending and sometimes blank stares from the reception staff. 'Yes Sir, No Sir, I don't know Sir', etc etc. Broken record replies probably thought to the staff by the managers. But you know what? It is our fault because we keep chosing these cheap places. We should work harder, earn more in order to chose more expensive hotels. It is us who keep these establishments in business. Same as we keep airlines like Ryanair in business although they mop the floor with us. Call it a rant, fine with me, but that's where we're heading. Cheaper services and zero quality. I hope I will be able to do without them as soon...
Read moreHad 2 nights there. The hotel was ok. The parking cost you 7 pounds per day. The room is having a sink, microwave, fridge and freezer, shower, Tv, AC. My AC had a wrong remote. So first night a was freezing in that room because. Me I can bare but I have a two years son. I didn't understand why I can't adjust on the heater the AC. So next day I went to reception and Staff Alexandru gave me the original remote from AC. And after that I managed to have a nice and warm night. On their website is writing WiFi but it didn't work in this days. They said that is Virgin fault. The disabled lift I don't know if is working because I tried to use it for my baby's pushchair and it was somebody in reception (Maria) and she ignore us. She saw us but she didn't said nothing. If is working or not. So I had to carry the pushchair on the stairs. In the end I would like to say thank to the romanians cleaner ladies who works hard and to Alexandru from reception. Read moreRoom was very clean, sheets and bed made well.. It was not hard to find and quite central for local places to visit.. On the downside, I am disappointed with the staff in tonight 11.06.21, they did not check my identification, nor did they tell me that the room did not have any breakfast included with the price. Booking.com offered the same rate as the hotel direct but theirs included breakfast. Staff professionalism needs work. The person that checked me in was happy to offer me parking at £7 a night but did not talk about any other added extras (breakfast, bar, meals). I rang late to order my breakfast because i thought this was incuded with the fee (fine, my own fault), the night receptionist did not offer me the option of paying extra for this breakfast but was quick to tell me there was no breakfast offered and asked me if that was all..... Professionalism, being able to tell guests of all that BWP has to offer will be invaluable for all...
