The location of this hotel is great if you're off to Wembley Stadium but it's not worth spending the money and you're better off finding something else further away which is what I wish I had done. Where do I start?
First of all I must address the breakfast and why anybody that eats it must check it beforehand. We found tiny white worms (and a lot of them at that) in the beans so we talked to the guy in the breakfast area and we were told it was just bean skin. Both me and the person I was with know food hygiene and what I found in those beans was not bean skin. We gave him the breakfast back and for some reason he was constantly trying to get us to believe it was bean skin but neither of us wanted to eat it so we went back to our room to pack up and get out of there. On the way out we informed the guy on front desk and he went to speak to the chef. He came back and also tried to play it off as bean skin and we believe he tried to tell us that the chef the day before had boiled them too much which means they were not fresh beans either way and they were just reused.
Check in is at 2pm which we had hoped to get there for that time but were held up with cancellations and such and we ended up getting there at around 3:10pm ish thinking our room would be ready and we could go get ready as we were seeing Harry Styles soon. We were told our room was not ready and we needed to wait about half an hour and we were told to sit in the restaurant so we did. People were pouring in yet we had no room yet until the guy told us he has a temporary room, we headed into the basement to our temporary room only to find a small box room with two single beds, no window and no sufficient aircon. The room was not fully clean, the fan in the room was covered in dust that a light tap blew dust across the room. The guy told us that if we liked the room we could stay there but might I add I did not pay for this tiny room, my bill was £139 so I expected more. We were also told that we should leave everything in our bags and whilst we are out at the concert our bags will be moved to our new room when it's ready. Luckily we were still there by the time the room was ready and we went into the room I had actually paid for. The rooms all need sprucing up, they are very dated and they are in need of a deep clean too. The mattresses were hard and the walls were so thin. I was constantly awoken by the sound of slamming doors...
Read moreI visited the Bridge Park Hotel last march for four days/three nights to do some Sightseeing and to visit a concert at the Wembley Arena. Before my trip I searched for a "cheap" hotel and found it. I knew from the beginning that I can't put high demands for the hotel. The hotel stuff was very nice, the check in and out totally easy. My room was tiny but clean as you can see at my pictures. The furnishing in itself has partly gotten into the years, the ground creaked in some places. The room was cleaned daily, even my bed was made. The towels were also changed every day. Unfortunately I couldn't ignore the street noise completely, as my room was oblique to the street. The noice during the night wasn't that much as at the daytimes, so I could still sleep well. In the sanitary area were a sink, shower and toilet. There were several sanitary areas spread out on the floor. The shower needs a general overhaul. It must be renewed. For a quick shower it is enough. At the rezeption desk I borrowed a hair dryer and the staff offered me an adapter for the outlet too(the hair dryer was a German model, I guess a former guest forgot it but I don't know...). The hair dryer was defect (there was heat but there wasn't air), so the hotel stuff gave me another one which worked perfect. There was a small roof terrace with a view of the backyard with a small playground for children. I have not looked at it, but from above it looked worn out. There was only a small breakfast selection which was enough for me. My summary of the stay is that it is quite sufficient for sleeping (for more I didn't need the room either). People who want to explore London and don't have too much expectations of their accommodation can endure it a good few days here. Everyone else I wouldn't...
Read moreMy Wife and I stayed at the Hotel on a weekend break, it is a short walk away from Stonebridge Park station which is accessible on the underground via the Bakerloo line and via the overground services from Euston.
The distance outside of the centre was not a problem, we encountered no issues getting into the centre of London and back again even on the Sunday when the Bakerloo line was closed in parts for engineering works, a bus replacement service was running to Queens Park so it just took a little longer.
The hotel was very well priced, the staff were extremely polite and approachable and could not have done more to help us. When I rang up, the hotel staff were happy to make arrangements for me to store my motorcycle in their locked yard/beer garden to the rear and were happy to accept our bags into storage well before check-in time so we could go into the city.
We booked a double en-suite room which was spacious and had a good sized bathroom with a full size bath. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room had its own refrigerator provided. The furnishings and décor in the room were very pleasing.
There were a lot of options on the menu for the evening and it was very well priced. The food was nice and on par with what I expect from pub food. The bar was reasonably priced and the staff friendly. The bar is open to the public and not restricted to hotel guests. Breakfast was equally nice with a buffet selection of Full English, continental and cereals.
All in all we enjoyed our stay very much, the price cannot be complained at and the staff were exceptionally courteous, friendly and...
