Shayona Restaurant in London isn't just a meal; it's an experience for the senses. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a vibrant world of Indian culture and culinary delights. Here's why Shayona deserves a perfect 5-star rating: A Feast for the Eyes and the Soul: The restaurant's interior is a feast for the eyes. Gone are the typical curry house clichés. Shayona boasts a contemporary Indian vibe, blending bright colors with traditional artwork and artifacts. The chandeliers and graceful foliage create an inviting ambiance that feels both stylish and sophisticated. It's a far cry from the average Indian restaurant, offering a truly unique and memorable setting. A Celebration of Vegetarian Cuisine: Shayona focuses on pure vegetarian "Saatvic" cuisine, adhering to Vaishnav, Jain, and Swaminarayan dietary requirements. This means no onion or garlic, but fear not! The chefs weave magic with spices and fresh ingredients, ensuring the flavors are anything but bland. In fact, you might be surprised you don't even miss the typical "base notes" of onion and garlic. A Culinary Adventure Across India: The menu at Shayona is a celebration of Indian diversity. It's not just your typical North Indian fare. Here, you'll embark on a culinary journey across the subcontinent. From Gujarati Thali buffets overflowing with vibrant dishes to Mumbai street food favorites like Aloo Papdi Chaat and Bhel Puri, your taste buds will be treated to a delightful exploration. Don't forget to explore the South Indian section, where you'll find delectable Dosas and Utapams. A Plethora of Options for Every Palette: While Shayona caters to vegetarians, even meat-eaters won't be disappointed. The rich flavors and textures of the vegetarian dishes are more than enough to satisfy. Additionally, the restaurant offers vegan and gluten-free options, ensuring everyone can enjoy the Shayona experience. Service with a Smile: The staff at Shayona is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. They're happy to explain the menu and answer any questions you might have about the "Saatvic" cuisine. Their warm hospitality adds another layer of delight to your dining experience. A Perfect Escape for Every Occasion: Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, a celebratory meal with friends, or a casual lunch, Shayona caters to all occasions. The versatile menu, coupled with the stylish yet comfortable ambiance, makes it a perfect choice for any gathering.

Would rate this place 2.5 stars honestly. The person at the counter, while was not outright rude, he seemed very disinterested to get us seated. He told us that there was a wait time of 45 mins and that we could wait outside. While this is completely ok, he did not ask us to leave our name. When we saw a few others who arrived after us being seated, we went and asked if we should leave our name in the waiting list - and this got him to write our name down. The food was not upto our expectations. Only the naan seemed soft and good. We had also ordered dahi papdi chaat - which was ok (not so great at all) and the paneer tikka masala was quite oily, but the paneer pieces were soft. But this place is definitely not worth the £25 we spent. We have definitely had much better sattvik food for much lower price! Only positive about this place is the staff who took our orders was genuinely amazing! She answered our questions regarding some items on the menu and patiently suggested us what we could order. While it seems like this is the only eatery near the beautiful temple, the cafe just outside this restaurant sells much better food for fraction of the price!

A great place to go for pure, saatvik food, after a visit to the divine Swaminarayan Temple in Neasden, London. We were initially told there may be a 25-30 minute wait, because we were four adults and a child. But the manager very kindly found a place within a few minutes after checking with us if we would be happy to keep our kid on our lap. But I did notice a few high chairs meant for kids, and placing one at our table would have perhaps not been in the way. Maybe they should consider this point. The servive, in keeping the general attitude of everyone in and around the temple premises, was polite and helpful The service was fast, and the food was simply wonderful. A great place to visit if you are a vegetarian.

I am sorry to say that we did no enjoy our meal at your place. First I rang to book my table and there was a table with reserve sign on the table so I asked if we could be moved there rather sitting in the middle with two children. One child was three years old and having a glass table was bit dangerous. The reason I was given was it was reserved and they are coming later on. We were there till nine pm still nobody turned up. The whole restaurant was empty when we left. The food was not properly cooked and not well presented. The crispy bhahas were not cooked well. The bhale had so much salt in it. When branjal oro and bhaji for pav were served without any corrindar in it. When shikhand was served without any almonds and pista decorations. It just look as if sugar was added and served. According to the the charges for the dish I am sure you could have done better. It was my birthday and I invited my son and his family over. If I had known that it is nowhere near like how it shows on the web I would have selected a decent restaurant where things like would not happen. I have nothing to say to my family and friends apart not to recommend. I would like you to feel guilty so that you can improve rather than deterate . Our bill came quite high. But next time for decent food and better service I would think twice before select this place. These are my...

The manager and staff were quite rude and discriminating. We (me, my husband, my parents and my 2 month old son) went for lunch here yesterday. During the same time there was a group of young lads and a non asian couple. During lunch the manager came and checked with the both the parties how the food was whereas we were not ask neither he was welcoming.

Now please note we were in typical desi dress not sure if he discriminated because he thought we were not worthy of it.

Anyways fastforwading it to bill payment. He personally came and greeted the non asian couple and checked them out. Whereas, he did not even bother to smile back or acknowledge our thanks when we said.

He literally ignored us entire time we were there.

Being swaminarayan my parents don't eat onion and garlic so we thought it would be a good experience for them. Alas, they proved it wrong.

Even the staff did not explain what was available properly she muttered so quickly that my husband thought that only buffet is available and nothing else (which was not the case) which we realised after they provided amazing service of reciting the menu to the other groups personally.

Really disappointed. If the management reads this please make sure everyone is treated equally. They should not judge the the book by its cover. For verification you can check the cameras and the bill payment.

Thank you jai...
