Beautiful and central location, spotlessly clean, friendly welcoming hosts, decent breakfast||-Parking was an issue, not as described - booked particularly because the guesthouse was central and claimed (free) private parking was available on site if reserved. I called in advance to confirm, turns out only available 5.30pm-8.30 am and all day at weekends, this was not as clear as it ought to be on Booking.com description. Apparently street parking is available but there are double yellow lines! A walk away over the bridge there is paid for parking in Weatherspoons but we weren't happy about leaving the car in a pub car park, and its a bit of a walk trailing luggage, especially if its raining! On this occasion it was not an issue for us but it should be made clearer, why not just say 'limited parking available'|- The room was comfortable but spartan, ok for short stays I would say.|- Pillows were old and lumpy, some had 2 pillows in one pillowcase! Come on, pillows are cheap to replace!|- Water pressure was non existent, shower just about manageable but to brush your teeth at the sink required filling the glass in order to wash down the sink.|- Towels were small, 2 'bath size' (same size as our hand towels at home) and one hand towel for 2 adults...
Read moreVery friendly hosts but felt like I had gone back in time to the 1970s. We had the corner room over looking the bridge on the first floor (room 14) this has one of those dastadly machinating toilets not to be used at night as so noisey. The bath was chipped and the shower was luke warm on two occasions. I felt everything was done as cheaply as possible the toilet paper was like sandpaper and a bottle of tap water was provided along with pgtips and nescafe instant coffee. The two small biscuits were nice. |Foam earplugs are also provided but these provided little respite from the street ambience in the early hours of Sunday morning. |Others have mentioned the parking we managed to get our Lexus nx 450 through the very tight alley way to the carpark with wing mirrors pulled in I would describe this as a bum clenching exercise not for the faint hearted!|Bed was very comfortable but very creaky. I enjoyed the cooked breakfast some decent granary toast again I felt the bread was the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bridge Guest House in Tiverton, and I can't recommend it highly enough! Nestled right in the middle of town on the River Exe, the location is simply stunning... peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. Watching the swans and ducks glide along the water while people enjoy the river creates a truly relaxing atmosphere.
The guest house is also conveniently close to the Great Western Canal, perfect for a scenic stroll or a day of exploring.
Breakfast was an absolute delight, with a delicious selection to start the day off right. But what really makes this place special are the hosts, Richard and Ling - they are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making sure every guest feels right at home.
If you’re looking for a cozy, picturesque getaway with fantastic hospitality, the Bridge Guest House is the perfect choice. I’ll...
