Tivoli Cinema — Local services in Mid Devon

I really do like having this little local cinema on our doorstep, but unfortunately over the years the cinema doesn't appear to have had much, or even any updates eg seating. I went last weekend to watch the new Jurassic World film & the seats were rocking more than a heavy metal gig! It wasn't until the end of the film I noticed that a number of the bolts for the seating were loose, or had come out completely! If you're tall, leg room can be very tight & also seat comfort is lacking. When you're there for a standard length film (90 minutes), bum's do start to hurt quite a bit! I think at the very least, if the seating were changed a lot more people would visit.

Nice little cinema, could do with serving proper food though for times when films are around...

The Tivoli IS an old theatre but so what? It is perfectly adequate for most people’s needs. I took my granddaughter there on Saturday and the entrance fee was reasonable. I had read other reviews saying that concessions were expensive. All cinema’s charge more for sweets, etc. so I was expecting this. The young man behind the counter was friendly, polite and helpful. The movie was brilliant (Sing 2) and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The only negative was feeling cold so we kept our coats on. All in all, a...

Lovely little cinema, good size screen and comfy seating. With a merlin cinemas loyalty card and meerkat movies codes it is only £2 per person, even in 3D! Went and saw the new Star Wars film in 3D for £2, incredible price and great experience. Went to Vue Exeter the week afterwards and it was nearly £15 PER PERSON, not including 3d glasses which they make you pay extra for now. If the Tivoli cinema ever closes I will be heartbroken, we need to keep this...
