From the moment I stepped into Tiverton Steak House, I was welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, making me feel comfortable and valued from the start. Now, let’s talk about the food—wow. I ordered the steak on a sizzling hot stone, and it was not just a meal—it was an experience. The steak arrived still sizzling, with a tempting aroma rising from the hot plate, and a beautiful sear that had my mouth watering before the first bite. What I really loved is that I could cook the steak exactly how I like it—bite by bite—keeping it hot and fresh the entire time. The quality of the meat was outstanding: tender, juicy, and full of flavor, perfectly seasoned without overpowering the natural taste of the beef.

The dish was accompanied by crispy, golden fries that were fluffy on the inside, and a colorful fresh salad featuring crisp lettuce, cucumber, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and yellow bell peppers. Everything was incredibly fresh and thoughtfully plated. I also appreciated the selection of three sauces served alongside—each one offering a unique flavor to elevate the steak even more.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this steakhouse — a truly memorable evening that ticked every box, especially for families with teenagers looking for something a little different. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of character. What made it stand out most was the interactive experience: we each cooked our own steak on a sizzling hot stone right at the table. The teenagers loved it — it was fun, novel, and made the meal feel like an experience rather than just dinner.

The quality of the steak was outstanding — beautifully marbled, tender, and full of flavour. Being able to sear it exactly how we liked it made the meal feel extra personal and satisfying. It was also a great talking point and brought a lively, communal energy to the table. The choice of sauces was great - especially the blue cheese and Stilton sauce! There was the option to have seasonal vegetables or salad, and chips or sauted potatoes with the steak, which were all very tasty as well! Desserts were equally impressive, especially the Manhattan Stack!

A special mention has to go to the wonderful lady who served us. She was everything you’d want in a host: attentive without being intrusive, genuinely friendly, full of humour, and made us feel like family. My partner and I stumbled across this gem of a steakhouse practically by accident - it turned out to be a meal we still reminisce on to this day! We visited in 2021, so the review is to be taken with a pinch of salt, but from what I can see the place hasn't changed hands at all, and we were welcomed into a lovely warm dining area by a very kind couple.

The food was fantastic, no faults at all. What we enjoyed equally was the atmosphere. It was so quaint and thoughtful, you felt as if you had been invited for an intimate meal at the house of a long time friend. The waitress was attentive and enthusiastic and made us feel at home. (We love cosy restaurants!)

I can only hope the second time we visit lives up to this, but in all honesty, it was so perfect we sometimes think we don't want to risk it!

A clean, welcoming, intimate dining experience with a few tables to create a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. You won't be rushed to finish your meal, and the outside world was shut off for us here.

It's not often that you will find a restaurant that will hold a place in your heart - but I can assure you, we certainly found that here!
