Over priced!garden plants need pruning bird poo on seating. Dead inside altho clean very retro lounge and breakfast room,Bar u have to ring a bell and is hardly open no entertainment on, Should be a bed and breakfast and not a hotel got the feeling it was for old people. Rooms..paper thin walls was woken up 5.45am with old man in next room blowing his nose constantly and running shower for ever, seagulls joined in with him with constantly squawking from daylight. Room was nice and clean tho but got a rather short remark when I went down and asked for milk got told I drink to much tea and it wasn't a joke either. 8 wouldn't go back here lacks good vibes, also on leaving we said checking out and he just said 36 quid for your drinks.. Not have you had a nice stay ect.

Hotel is close to the town and the location is excellent. Another plus was that the staff were friendly.

Breakfast was ok - I have had worse in hotels but I have also had considerably better. We had one evening meal which was well cooked - see menus on hotel website for an idea of the prices though - however choice was limited if you did not like fish particularly as there was no chicken choices available for our 7:30 table booking. Car parking is available for a limited number of cars and on the second night we had to search to find a parking space out on the street although we did manage to move the car close to the hotel - but still on the street - a little later on.

However in my opinion this hotel is overpriced. The touch of luxury I expected for the price we paid for two nights was missing. We booked a "Superior Double": the furnishings were tired but more significantly I dread to think how much space would be available in a "cosy double" as space was very limited in our "Superior" room. The lack of room available in the en suite meant we were unable to get in and out of it without brushing against the heated towel rail which was so hot it left marks on my skin for several hours afterwards - we eventually found the on/off switch but there was no means of turning it down.

Would...

Fantastic three night stay in a beautiful suite. The location is perfect as the street is so quiet and peaceful but within very easy walking distance to the town. Plenty of parking spaces in the hotel car park too. Our hosts couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming, taking the time to give us plenty of information and great recommendations for places to visit and where to eat. The breakfasts were delicious, with speedy and attentive service throughout, despite the covid restrictions! We felt completely safe and reassured within the hotel with regard to the virus, all appropriate safety precautions had been taken and systems were in place. Lovely garden with plenty of places to sit out and enjoy the beautiful sunshine with a drink from the bar. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they all went out of their way to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Would highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel. Many thanks to...

Very pleased with this hotel, we only stayed for one night but were most impressed. Melanie on reception was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Free sherry and cake was available for residents in the bar between 4-5 which was a nice touch. The decor was lovely and the facilities in our room were very good. There is a restaurant but we had already made arrangements elsewhere but the menu looked delicious. However we did have breakfast the next morning which was great, my husband had the Norfolk full breakfast which was beautifully cooked and I had poached eggs on toast. There was a good variety of food options, and the marmalade and jams were all homemade. The hotel has a large car park, and is only a 5 minute walk from the town and the pier, there is also a nice park nearby and the golf course. Altogether we had a very pleasant experience and look forward to going back sometime. Would...
