I took my Mum to Reigate Manor for afternoon tea as a treat, but sadly the experience left us disappointed and upset. We had: a view of the car park from our table, Dirty tea cups, Stale cakes with off tasting cream topping and a couple of slices of disgusting dried strawberries, inedible green blobs filled with foul gunk, small dry scones (they were approx the size of the mini pot of jam) and sandwiches with curled edges. Presentation was mediocre and restaurant staff were nowhere to be seen. We were the only two people in the place for the duration - that’s if you don’t count the female who sat on the sofa near us seemingly having a break (a staff member I presume as she sipped from her Mandy cup). Before leaving we put our coats on from the coat rack very near the reception desk and were completely ignored by the receptionist, she didn’t even say good bye let alone ask how the tea was. The food was abysmal and service was poor, nothing like a treat and certainly nothing I would like repeated, therefore, I will definitely be sharing my appalling experience with others to warn them.

Beautiful hotel, nearby Reigate The hotel is accessible on foot, although the road is not very advisable, especially in the evening because the last piece has no sidewalk. The hotel is very beautiful aesthetically also inside it is very well looked after and is very famous for weddings in fact the cuisine is really very good the restaurant offers a lot of dishes at a fair price the bar is also well stocked and you could choose cocktail snacks wines or non-alcoholic drinks The staff is very welcoming, very helpful, always very kind, the rooms are large and equipped with every comfort, the bed is very comfortable, in short, it is a hotel that can really suit you if you have to pass near Reigate It is also very close to the Reigate train station and with Huber you can get there in a few minutes even on foot and the town center is very close where you will find lots of restaurants and shops and supermarkets, in short I highly recommend it, a full five stars

Stayed here for 3 days with travelzoo deal. Hotel is about 100 years old so difficult to make it modern so felt a little dated but everywhere was clean and tidy and hotel had a warm comfortable feel to it with rich colours. Beds were very comfortable. All the staff and management were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, but a limited selection but ample portions and cooked to perfection, our only criticism was service to get food was a bit too slow so you did have plenty of time between courses but it was worth the wait. The cream tea served in afternoon was the best we have had for some time, you have to order and wait as the scones are cooked to order only, so delicious. Hotel location was good for us to do some walking but we didn't rate Reigate for shopping, if this interests you visit Dorking instead which was much better, and visit Boxhill for stunning views.

Our legal wedding ceremony at Rygate Manor Hotel was simply excellent. From start to finish, the staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly, helpful, and endlessly accommodating. It is such a beautifully run business, and everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for.||The canapés were fantastic, the prosecco flowed beautifully, and the team set up the ceremony room with such thought and elegance—it looked perfect. We then stayed at the hotel for two nights leading up to our wedding party, and again the staff could not do enough for us. They were accommodating with everything: from my hairdresser arriving, to businesses dropping things off, to the lovely lady who delivered my flowers. Every single guest and supplier commented on how polite, pleasant, and helpful every member of staff was.||The accommodation was comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful, and at every turn, the staff were kind, competent, and eager to help in any way possible. They truly made us feel at home, and nothing was ever too much trouble.||If I could give Rygate Manor Hotel more than five stars, I would. It is a brilliant venue, fully licensed for legal ceremonies, run by brilliant people. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone and everyone looking for a wedding venue or a special stay. Thank you for making our ceremony...

Hotel was very easy to find being just off the M25 at junction 8. We went on a travel zoo deal and we were warmly welcomed by the lovely Janie. Our room (202) was clean but, here I have a major complaint -there were no coat hangers so where one was supposed to hang any wet clothing. The bed was comfortable although neither I nor my decidedly better half, are fans of the quilts that are stuffed with an artificial filling. Food in the restaurant (or bar if one wished) was of a good standard. Another major complaint and one that could get the hotel into trouble with the appropriate authority, concerns bar service. My partner asked for a 125ml glass of wine and was told a 125 was not provided because the electronic POS register did not allow for that option. I did point out that a 125 had to be provided if requested. The barman's response was "I can do you a 125 but I will have to charge you for a 175!". I made the complaint to the duty manager who apologised but seemed to imply the hotel owners had set the prices and were averse to changing them. (I think that was what he said but he had a bit of an accent). This is incident (not the staff's fault), is why I have not given a five star srating. Staff worth a mention: Deepak Sharma and Janie|Recommended but be aware of...

Due to the fact that I am a rubbish cook, and my husband wanted roast lamb on Easter Sunday, we booked a table at the Reigate Manor for their carvery lunch. We had never done so before but we will definitely be doing it again. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were shown into a large and light dining room where other diners were already seated. We saw that on every table an Easter egg had been placed for each person. It was a very thoughtful touch. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, with a pleasant 'buzz'. The service was excellent, the waiting staff were attentive without being overwhelming. They made sure that we knew how lunch would be served, and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Starter is in the form of a buffet so there's no need to wait with rumbling stomachs for service. The choice was varied, extensive and very tasty. The main course (a carvery) was beautifully cooked and there was a vegetarian option too. The hotel has a very good wine list and during the meal, the staff ensured we had all that we needed to drink. I didn't have a dessert but my husband tackled the hot cross bun pudding with (lots of!) custard. We topped it all off with coffee and could hardly move afterwards. It was a wonderful experience and we can highly...
