From the moment I walked into Julies home (it's a homely guest house and thats what it felt like) Julie was so lovely and welcoming. Even though I arrived before check in time, she was able to give me my room which was much appreciated. She even came out to see how I got on when I got back from my 1st day out in the city. I loved the homely feel from the guest house, at breakfast Coco and Kim the family dogs came out to say hello to us.
The bedroom was quite big, it had everything I could have needed, a fridge, kettle, a fan, TV etc. and it was super clean. There were so many little thoughtful bits that Julie puts in to the room like bottled water and biscuits, tea, coffee etc. There were even toiletries in the bathroom.
Julie and her husband Peter are just lovely people. There were personal touches that you just wouldn't get in a 5 star hotel. I stayed for 3 nights, but my main reason was to see Pink in Anfield. Peter was so kind and gave me a lift to Anfield stadium, and Julie organised a shuttle back to the guesthouse after the concert. This made my evening stress free and I am super grateful to both of them.
For anyone that might be a little hesitant about the location, I was too but its just a short bus ride outside the city and it turned out to be the best decision I made for my trip to Liverpool. It's very accessible to the city with multiple bus routes and away from the hustle and bustle.
Until the next time Julie, Peter, Coco and Kim,...

Julie is a lovely host and the rooms might not be hotel-standard, but they are cozy and there is complimentary water, warm drinks and a little bite. The guest house is close to a shopping center, and there is also good alternatives for food, a few restaurants and a few fast food places. Its a 15-20 minute walk to Goodison Park, and 5-10 minute walk to the Mersey Rail who can take you to city centre, if you like.
The area is very quiet so you get a good sleep. The breakfast is a good english breakfast, or change it to your likings, which is excellent. Very friendly place where most guest chat a bit during breakfast, and there is a lot of laughter and some banter if you meet some other football-supporters.
I travel a lot and one of my go to places is right there in Bootle. I keep coming back so must be a...

I stayed in an en-suite room for one at Breeze for a short business trip earlier this year. Breeze Guest House is a family-run business and there are young children on the premises, so be aware that you will need to phone before your arrival if your check-in will be in the late evening (8pm was the cut-off during my stay).
The manager was very gracious and welcoming and helped make the stay a pleasant experience overall. My room was quite nice, though I remember an issue with one of the water taps. I can't recall what exactly this was but I imagine it was resolved quite promptly.
Breakfast is served as part of your stay and it was very good. I do recall the tomatoes having a distinct smell, so I skipped them when eating. I've never been one for tomatoes in fry-ups anyway.
I recommend this place if you're here for...
