Addison Arms — Restaurant in Sefton

We have never been here before, we arrived with my husband and 4 children. Waiting at bar for nearly 10 minutes to put order in, lady arrives with a attitude and takes order (lisa I think she may be called ) ,food came was ok for the price of nearly £50. When finished I went to the bar and asked for desserts, we waited 15 minutes then I went to the bar to chase it up , the same lady just said " hang on" I went back to the table waiting a further 10 mins , I asked the lady this time for a refund on desserts, her response was she would go see what the chef was doing first and to just wait. We was still waiting and our children where getting agitated so we ended up just leaving after waiting over half a hour just for ice cream ! We Didn't get a refund in the end as no one was behind the bar at time of leaving and there was a big que. Shame really but will not be returning or recommending to anyone. Disappointed is a...

Service was quite slow, the food could of been better, was basically cold when it was served to us and it took till we got our food for my mum to get her latte she ordered. My food was a bit tough and struggled to cut, even with a steak knife, any dad's food was the same and my mum said they're food tasted better last time they went. We did get an apology from I assume the manager and one of the staff members so that's a good thing, and the manager did ask one of the staff members twice about doing the latte too but as said previously it took a while to come which the manager told us she shouldn't of waited that long. Great place for a drink, lovely food but the best part of the experience was the staff. daisy looked after our table and we could not have got a better service in Clarridges of London. She was very helpful in explaining the menu choices, attentive to our needs and very pleasant and witty too. She brought a happy bouyant mood to whole experience so thank you Daisy. I found the whole experience wonderful an the meal really good value and tasty. We had fries, chicken bites and chicken wings. the pub can feel a little dark inside but it was a dark day. The barstaff were all very pleasant too again especially Daisy who checked in on us occasionally to see if we needed any more drinks, condiments etc. A thoroughly lovely...
