We were on a three night rabbie tour and this is where we stayed for the nights love the tour. I don't think we got the best accommodations. This was right on the Harbor with great view that's pretty much the best part of it. It was centrally located so easy walking around the little tiny town. We walked in and the room was this tiny Pub everyone looked at us and it was super weird and uncomfortable. After we sorted things out they told us our accommodations were upstairs . You have to carry your luggage up a 2 flights of stairs and a very narrow. After 2 shoulder surgeries that sucked. The room was tiny with a slopped roof that made getting around in the dark dangerous. I bumped my hear several times and Im 5'2. The bathroom was worse than in a camper. Shower door kept falling off and water pressure was a joke. Bar and can be loud at night. We called ahead for sheet since on ac. They put another comforter and didnt seem to know what a sheet was or willing to find one. Windows have no screens and are locked closed. | Breakfast was decent because but asked for eggs fried hard. If u like crispy bacon aren't going to find it in Europe. If you have choice this isn't someplace I would rush back to. | Service ...the females were ok but guy wasn't...
Read moreOld Pier Cottage surpassed our expectations! We weren't ready for the stunning views from our bedroom! The location is just perfect, on the banks of the water in Uig looking out over the harbour. We much preferred the quieter town of Uig rather than the hustle bustle of Portree for staying, made for a relaxing stay. The room itself is huge! With lots of space in the bedroom and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the shower was good, two musts for us on holiday! The owner Billy was very friendly and was happy to help with any questions we had a tips on where to visit in the island. The breakfast was up at the Uig Hotel which is a 2 min drive up hill, or you can walk up to it. The food at the Uig Hotel was delicious! Breakfast was amazingly tasty and just kept coming, we left both mornings absolutely stuffed but ready for a good day exploring the island. We had dinner at the Uig Hotel one of the nights too which was a lovely meal. All in all we loved our stay! Old Pier Cottage was a perfect base camp, with beautiful views and comfortable facilities to recouperate in after much exploration! We would 100 percent return here on our next trip to...
Read moreWe stayed for two nights in the twin room in the Old Pier Cottage B&B. The room was extremely clean and freshly decorated. The shower room provided fluffy, pristine, white towels and quality products. I loved the tiles! The twin beds were comfortable with fresh, smart bedding and luxurious duvet and pillows. The room came with a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. As lovely as the room was, the main attraction for me was the beautiful view - looking out accross the bay to the pier. Stunning views and a beautiful sky- we were told that there had been dolphins in the bay the day before we arrived, we will need to come again to see for ourselves!||Breakfast was served in the nearby Uig Hotel, we chose the full works and couldn't fault it. The tasty breakfast set us up for a full day of exploring this wonderful Island. Staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful- taking time to help us plan our day's adventures.||A wonderful stay in a clean, modern, warm, friendly B&B ||I wish we could...
