Wow, wow, wow. If I could, I’d say “wow” three more times because Birch is truly a spectacle. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere wraps you up with warmth, and the service is so friendly you might find yourself wanting to invite the staff to your next party.
The coffee… oh, the coffee. It’s so delicious that it makes you rethink your life priorities. And if you think I’m exaggerating, it’s only because you haven’t tasted what comes out of their kitchen yet. The toast with eggs we had was phenomenal, but when dessert arrived, things got serious.
The Key Lime Pie is like a little piece of heaven with a citrus twist, and the Millionaire’s Shortbread, well, it’s exactly what it should be: a delight so rich it makes you feel like you’ve won the lottery. But instead of cash, you get a lingering taste of happiness that lasts for hours.
The price isn’t exactly for those on a tight budget, but every pound you spend here is an investment in your own gastronomic pleasure. Honestly, if Birch opened in my city, it would be both a blessing and a curse: a blessing for my taste buds and a curse for my waistline.

I’d say the coffee is fantastic and if you’re a coffee lover then you’ll not be disappointed. It’s a small location but that adds to atmosphere.
The not so good.
It was busy when we were in and it took a full 3 minutes to get an acknowledgement, for some that might not matter but for some it might. I don’t mean served I mean a “hello”
The cakes were all on the counter on plates but all uncovered, not covid related but people are standing over them talking to staff, there is a 100% chance of peoples contamination.
Looking at the menu I did not see one Gluten free option, there was vegan and vegetarian but that’s a lifestyle choice where as gluten intolerance is a health condition.
The sugar and spoons placement for takeaway just doesn’t work, the sugar is in an open container, people who are waiting in line to order are standing in front of this section meaning you need to ask people to move to gain access.
Nice place, great coffee but the not so good is an area where this business could go from good...

The service of the guy and gal behind the counter was excellent , very organised and they were very friendly. The coffee was delicious. We had their pre-made sandwiches absolutely delicious. You will be tempted by their variety of cakes and cafe meals . The chef is AAA+++. Overall even though it’s small, it’s big in character and great in service and coffee and food.
