Stayed overnight at Cley Hall Hotel in a very nice large clean ground floor room annexed from the main building. Nice comfortable bed, linen and bathroom and kitchen. The staff were extremely kind and thoughtful. Having had a good nights sleep it was so nice to go and be looked after by starting the day off with a stunning breakfast. What a great choice to choose from and overlooking the beautiful gardens as well. Like a few reviews I've read I personally would like the Cley Hall Hotel to bring back an evening meal option. Knowing they think going out is to their mind is the best option, having driven most of the day, unpacked, and ready for a well earn rest then having to prepare to then, find a suitable place to eat, then go out and walk into town and back is not my idea of relaxing after a busy day. (Slight improvements) With the Cley Hall Hotel not having a lift I phoned and booked a ground floor room. They point out this room is accessable but i found it very hard to navigate the entrance threshold in a power chair. I would like to see more grab handles in the bathroom to aid getting in and out of the bath/shower safely. Would I visit the Cley Hall Hotel again, certainly, its has a warm and cosy feel and is lovely place to stay and be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stayed in the Cley Hall recently as was attending a staff Christmas party nearby.
And I can say it was wonderful! I beleive it was Gemma who graciously welcomed me at the bar as I arrived and showed me to my room, making sure I was aware I had booked the basement suite, which was absolutely supprising to hear that other patrons do not check what room they have booked before travelling! I'm not a windows man anyway so this room i was very happy to book, the room felt like an apartment it was fantastic!
The atmosphere of the hotel was lovely, and I have seen a few of the sharp reviews on here which feels as if they just like to complain in general and are not satisfied in their own choices.
Gemma if it was you who welcomed me. Thank you, you really where amazing! And it shows how dedicated to making people feel comfortable with humour and witt!
I can say breakfast took me by supprise, I was very delighted for the service from the team. And such a noble array in the selection of food. It was a perfect breakfast for myself.
Yes the hotel it's on a busy main road that can not be helped, but it did not bother me in the slightest. It was a delight to stay!
Thank you for such wonderful hospitality. I look forward to staying again...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery good stay right from arrival. Pleasant guy on reception/bar duties checked us in and explained in detail about the hotel, car parking ( in front of hotel or in side car park), the room, breakfast and where to eat as they couldnāt currently provide evening meals. We had a comfy spacious room- a standard double - which was upstairs in the coach house a few steps across the side car park. The room was beautifully heated, came supplied with a hospitality tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and even a teapot. The en suite had a (quite) powerful shower, plenty of hot water, and all soaps, shampoo, etc were provided there as well. The lounge bar was comfy, and had a good selection of, beers, wineās, cider and gin. The Crystal Inn Chinese just along the road was good for evening meal. The location, on the riverside, across from the town centre was perfect, as well as good for a nice stroll in the sun. Breakfast was really excellent. A buffet table of teas, coffeeās, hot chocolate, juices, fruits, yogurt, and cereals, bread (white and whole meal) and croissants. Your hot food order - Full English, or salmon, or porridge, was taken by the hostess and supplied quite...
