Jashir - Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in South Holland

Horrific experience, what was supposed to be a birthday celebration for several people ended up with one couple walking out in discust at the attitude and comments made by the staff. This couple asked to be billed separately to the rest of us which resulted in their order being taken separately and despite ordering first, their meal never arrived, even 10 minutes after ours and others were served. When asking the staff where the food was they were basically blamed for ordering separately. It's not that difficult. Staff just didn't communicate with each other and we were asked if we were ready to order, we're weren't, one left and another arrived and asked again, and then again within the space of two minutes. Drinks orders all over the place and staff hanging around with their hand out to take your glass while you're still drinking it. And when we left to pay the bill they had added £12 service charge, and were promptly told to remove it! We will not be visiting here again and will recommend others not to either. The manager we spoke to just didn't get what was wrong.

Update to response: At no point when asking to separate the order did you state it was difficult, it would be a problem, or suggest that you could separate the bill out at the end as an alternative and prefered. Apologies if our attendance and requests at your establishment proved too difficult but this doesn't explain the poor attitude or service you then gave as highlighted by your response now. Our Party of 18 booked the Private Room 6th July for a 21st Birthday. I was able to go in when they opened at lunchtime. I was given access to the room so I could decorate it, how I wanted it. The staff were excellent and on hand if I needed help. We arrived for 7pm. England were playing so they held back on serving the food. It was a beautiful serve yourself buffet. We couldn't fault the food. There was more than enough and we were offered more if we needed topping up. The meal was £20pp and well worth every penny. We had access to the bar. We had a wonderful evening at Jashir in Spalding! We visited as a family to celebrate my birthday, and the whole experience was perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious – full of rich flavours and beautifully cooked. The service was spotless, attentive without ever feeling rushed, and the team made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting, which made it an ideal place for a special family meal.
