We often stay away for work, and normally stay at premier Inn. those I have stayed at have been a bit, well, meh.

This hotel is completely different. From the friendly staff, to the hot breakfast it really was a good stay and maybe, just maybe, will premier inn make its way back onto the approved stay list once again!

From checkin, the two receptionists were so lovely, really welcoming and just down to earth, not prissy or rude as has been my experience elsewhere. There was a drama with the website where we couldn’t book online (the whole of the estate apparently) but they got us set up in no time. Evidently there’s a new system in place? I have a feeling HQ might regret that choice later down the line - if we hadn’t have already been at the hotel and working directly adjacent, we likely would have stayed elsewhere and so would many other people.

Dinner time next and I went for the meal deal and despite the upgrades value for money was spot on. Can’t normally rave about branded establishments’ food but you can really fugg up a mixed grill but this was so tasty, grilled properly not just thrown in the merry. I could tell some love went into the meals. The service was spot on too, beer was good as well - the Atlantic is an obvious choice for me and was cold and clean.

Breakfast was also spot on. I’m a slow burner in the morning so require deep caffeination as soon as reasonably practicable and the lovely girl behind the counter made sure I could access the coffee machine before needing to form any complex sentences. Service was, well, self, but that’s what I like but normally you find the staff having a good ol gossip and aren’t really interested. Not here, all friendly, considerate when around us eating, like not having a party with the plates and cutlery in your earhole kind of considerate and just generally nice friendly staff.

Overall, gold standard premier inn experience so please, area managers, get your hotel staff to stay here so they know how it’s done.

Shoutout to Nancy and Yvonne, with Dillon (with his perfect eggs) as well nett and Eva on reception for getting us checked in the old school way, despite the system faults stopping them from booking two rooms. Normally, most premier inns would have just taken it verbatim and done “computer says no” but they knew their occupancy, and knew that they had rooms available so pressed forward and got us in. Nett especially (who we actually dealt with) really excelled - it’s sometimes the little things and after a 4 hour drive it’s nice to have a friendly...

My partner and I had travelled from the South West and were feeling rather ravenous, so after booking into the hotel we thought we would pop next door to the Beefeater Grill on the strength of the menu which was left in the room.

Absolutely disgraceful and horrible experience. Note, it's not the staff that is the issue, they are doing the best of a bad job.

Visited Beefeater Grill at the Premier Inn Wolverhampton North, Friday 10 Sep 21. Was told it would be best to book as it gets busy. Cant be that busy as there were only a few people in the restaurant at nine-o-clock. Was asked on entry if we had any allergens and as my partner does have allergys to certain foods, we said yes and were handed what can only be called a six page spreadsheet detailing every item on the menu with relevant allergy information. One hell of a read. Also handed a list of what was NOT available which was quite comprehensive.

Decided on Haddock and Chips and waited for fifteen minutes, reasonable amount of time. Food arrived. Wow! Where do I start? My meal was grease laden and totally inedible. Pressed my fork on the fish and oil oozed from it. The batter was obviously cooked in a temperatue that was far too high and old oil. My partners fish was 'undressed' of its batter due to gluten allergy, was also inedible as it was as dry and as tough as an old boot.

Of course, we were going to complain. First to the waitress, who promptly fetched the manager. Bless him, he could not have been more apologetic and we were offered alternatives. Sadly, due to aforementioned shortages there was nothing either of us could or would want to eat.

We understand the shortage of certain items on the menu due to outside circumstances, BUT, what is on the menu should be at the very least, edible.

Sadly, we shall never visit another Beefeater Grill in the future. It must be noted that we did not take advantage of the £9.50 'all you can eat breakfast,' the following morning.

Once again this is not a staff complaint. Those who dealt with the situation, were professional, polite and very apologetic. Well done...

🚨🚨🚨PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE THINKING OF LEAVING YOU CAR IN THE CAR PARK🚨🚨🚨

The hotel itself is just like any other Premier Inn, This review is solely based on the security of the car park, we visited on Thursday 2nd November 2023 to attend a wedding in Wolverhampton on the 3rd. When we got up in the morning to head to the wedding, we went out to the carpark to find that our Range Rover Sport was stolen during the night. After talking to the staff in the hotel, we were told that it was the second Range Rover to be stolen from the car park that week and 4th to be stolen in the last month, which means that staff at the hotel are aware of the security issues, and admit that nothing is being done to prevent these robberies. Needless to say that its a targeted spot for car thieves, Range Rovers in particular, personally i feel that there should be a duty on the hotel's side to improve car park security, considering that there is no barrier on the entrance, no onsite security, and seriously comprimsed CCTV in place that couldn't identify the make or model of the car the thieves entered the car park in, let alone the vehicle registration. We had never visited Wolverhampton before and were not aware of the serious issue within the area regarding grand theft auto's, but even if this is a heads up for anyone thinking of staying in this hotel, keep this in mind, especially if you own a Range Rover, we were very lucky to recover our vehicle late on the 3rd, 10 miles away from the hotel. As far as i'm aware the other vehicles have not...

I recently stayed at the Premier Inn Wolverhampton North and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and offered ample space, which made it comfortable to move around and settle in. The bed was very comfy, and I especially appreciated the bed-like lounge couch provided – perfect for relaxing or unwinding with a book or show. There were a few drawbacks, however. The room doesn't come with a fridge or air conditioning, which was a bit disappointing – especially the lack of a fridge, which would have been useful for storing drinks or snacks. That said, a fan was provided and did a decent job keeping the room cool. The bathroom was also clean and functional, with everything you’d expect for a basic stay. While the amenities are simple and no-frills, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff stood out and really elevated the experience. There is also the option to have breakfast at an extra cost( Its free for kids), which is convenient if you're looking to start your day with a meal on-site. Additionally, for those driving electric vehicles, it's worth noting that there are charging points available in the car park – a great bonus for EV owners. Overall, a solid budget-friendly option with a few minor limitations. Would recommend for short stays if you don’t need a lot of extras.
