We really enjoyed this experience and this is one of those cases where I wish we could separately review the food from the experience/show...The food was in the 3.5 stars range but the overall experience (actors/serves and show) was a lot of fun so I'm grading this one on a curve in deference to those sweet, talented and funny performers.
Starting with the food (since that's how the experience begins) - It's okay. My wife thought the salmon was a bit overcooked. The salad, apple crumble, and biscuits were good enough. I'm a vegetarian so they have to run over to Karsten's (the restaurant across Denali Square...really a one-minute walk) to get special diet dishes. I didn't get any choice in what they brought (whereas on the Karsten's menu, there are a few items) and was given an okay vegetarian pasta. The person across the table from me was brought the same pasta but with parmesan cheese on it (which looked better), and Karsten's had on their menu a couple other items I would have rather had...so overall disappointing food...
But...the overall experience of being there was a lot of fun. The performers, who double as your servers have a lot of energy and during dinner they take turns performing songs from the stage. The main "Music of Denali" show happens after the meal. It's well done, appropriately funny, and a little cheesy, interactive, and the only place in the world you're able to have this exact experience.
Seating is first come first serve so if it's a sold-out show I'd get there early so you can be as close to the front as you want. Also, they haven't quite entered the world of digital tipping yet so if you think you'll want to tip, have cash on hand. Get reservations!
Get there early if you want to have a front row seat! There was live entertainment outside before the show.
The actors are also the servers. We had a lot of hot and fresh food. When we ran out, they brought us more. Why did we run out? I believe that all of the places are trying to reduce wasted food by bringing out smaller amounts at a time.
It's dinner and an interactive show. It's fun and the folks who had seen it earlier, raved about it ... and I told them to write positive reviews! The evening is what you make of it! We sang along to the piano man. We sang to the folks with birthdays and anniversaries. We celebrated graduations.

Read moreAn absolute must-do when visiting Denali! We weren’t sure what to expect from the dinner- show, so we went with an open mind. And we absolutely loved it. The whole Dinner part of the evening is very interactive and audience participation is fun. We are very reserved Brits but we didn’t mind this- it’s such a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Kitty was our server and she was great fun, and an absolute superstar!! The second part of the evening was the actual show, and it too was fantastic. Good singing and acting, and nice storyline. Fabulous. I’m so glad we booked this, and I would 100% do it again. Highly...
