Canyon Ridge Grill — Restaurant in Alaska

Went to Canyon Ridge Grill and let’s just say it was something special! I started with an apple juice and it had tons of flavor. Definitely a 5/5! Next I ordered the homestead meal with reindeer sausage and white toast. The white toast came with butter and jam, combined the two and it was marvelous! The toast wasn’t too hard and not too floppy. A easy 5/5! The potatoes on the side were also very tender and tasty, would order more. 5/5! The eggs got them scrambled and was delicious but a tide bit bland. I needed to add some salt and pepper to make it have some flavor. Other than that was very good. 4.5/5! Lastly, it was the reindeer sausage. The sausage wasn’t terrible and I ate the whole thing. However, I thought the sausage was too meaty, more than a sausage should normally be. It also had a little kick to it and in my opinion a bit chewy. 3.5/5! The sausage is indeed good, but not for me. Next up is the service. It was very nice and they were respectful 5/5. The atmosphere was great, a massive window looking to the mountains. 5/5! If I could this restaurant would be an overall 4.5/5 and I only gave it a 4/5 cause of the sausage. I would definitely recommend this...

The food was great here. Portions a bit small. The ambience was not so great being a little loud. What really disturbed me was the fire alarm that went off 5 minutes after we received our entrees. The entire staff was in disarray responding to the fire alarm. They did not make any announcements to the patrons. The manager seemed perturbed and not understanding of what to do. We hung out in the cold for about 15 minutes and there was no announcement about what just happened to the patrons after returning to the restaurant. There was no apology due to the inconvenience. I am a Certified Safety Professional that serves as the Emergency Action Plan coordinator for my office and this performance was executed more poorly the average drill, yet this was not a drill. It seemed like we all got back in and it was business as usual with no acknowledgement. Not satisfied at all. Good...

I went here August 01 with my husband. The waitress was so rude. I ordered a New York Strip medium rare-and my husband ordered the Prime Rib medium well. My steak was well done and like leather and my husband’s prime Rib was very rare/ blood running in plate. We both complained to waitress which she stood and argued with us/ so shock just terrible waitress. She sent manger and he just gave us our ticket and we paid and left resturant.
