We booked and needed to cancel within 12 hours due to MISREPRESENTATION of the property. I would NOT RECOMMEND even booking here, but for your knowledge , the website says WiFi is available but it’s not available in all the cabins !!!!! THEY DO DOT DISCLOSE THIS ! I know you are all thinking it’s 2018 and everywhere has WiFi, because I thought this too! 12 hours people !!! The front desk girl try to lie to me and say 4 days !!!NOPE, but obviously they are trained to lie ! Finally they agreed to a “partial” refund , but who knows if they will actually follow through !

The owner NANCY is the rudest , most cold hearted human being I have ever spoken to. She trains her staff to speak and act like she does . The things she said to me should NEVER be said to a customer (I have a teenager dying of stage 4 cancer Ewing sarcoma and he and I will be in out not skiing , trying to do something nice for our family but no WiFi/tv not an option . Sitting in your lodge for WiFi not an option due to our circumstance , her response was “I don’t care about your excuse” It wasn’t an excuse ! We would never have booked a room with no WiFi! As soon as we found out , we need our money back to do something that works for us those few days we are out of chemo!

If you want to be treated terribly, this is your place !!!

THIS POSTED AFTER OWNER REPLY !!!

THE REPLIES FROM THE OWNER ARE ALL LIES!!! We were not in talk THREE days ! I have EVIDENCE to prove it. ALSO, I am the wife, not “wife” , who called 18 hours after reservation ! Reservation was at 5:00 pm thurs, I called at 11 am FRIDAY . Our FIRST contact with you was 12:12 pm On Thursday : WE ARE NOT STAYING AT YOUR PLACE. I expect the 3 night refund as I was promised !!!! Although the RIGHT THING TO DO IS 4 nights !!!! ALSO A LIE IN THE OWNER RESPONSE , we NEVER made the reservation for a double queen room and DID NOT have an email reservation ! I HAVE ALL THE PROOF that this is false! Also, we NEVER called and asked about the weather ! We know how to use the weather app and how to check the snow fall, we do all this while using out WiFi. I am an honest person and floored that someone especially an owner would respond with such inaccuracies, and such rudeness still .

Sounds like she was thinking of another potential client who called for 3 days, and asked about the weather .

We are immunocimpomised . Hanging out to have WiFi in a lobby is NOT an Option . As much headache as you have caused us, I still pray that no one else including you , ever has to have a situation like we do in our family where we try to plan a last minute trip in between stage 4 chemo treatment treatments of a teenager.

Also, you should be able to tell by the tone of the response that this woman is NOT A NICE HUMAN . I was promised a refund of 3 nights. I will update another review if this is...

Don’t bother wasting your money, i only gave them 1 star because i have to. Lets start off by saying i paid $1,193.98 for 5 nights, off which i stayed 3. This place looks nothing like the pictures. The rooms are ridiculously small, dirty, and outdated. On the first night we noticed they provide a space heater for each room & ours didn’t work, so considering the temp was in the negatives we called the emergency line to let them know we had no heat. The woman who answered sounded as if this was such an inconvenience for her but did send a man to bring us a replacement heater. The room had 2 beds, but my husband and i only used one. We did however notice that the frame on the second bed seemed to be broken as my husband sat on the edge of the bed to put his shoes on. The only way to the third floor where we stayed was several flights of stairs which were disgusting and had not been cleaned in god knows how long. Also, theres no lobby just doors directly to the stairs/rooms which were not locked or protected meaning anyone could enter. On each floor, the hallway had couches where we saw random barefoot men sleeping. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything on the other side. The bathroom also had mold growing on the walls as you can see in the pictures below. The parking situation is minimal. Theres few spots in the back of the building to park, and most days were hardly accessible due to the cafe parking set up. This also meant at night we had to enter through the back of a building in the dark. This place was rather sketchy in general and made me feel unsafe. I assure you for the money you’re spending you can find somewhere much...

This is a quaint, vintage-style lodge that is more affordable than other lodges in the area, and it is located just across the main thoroughfare from the mountain with picturesque balcony views of the ski slopes. There is also a little store that sells ski gear, a Subway, a Pizza place, a gas station, and a Lowe's grocery store right next door.

You must call the property management company to get a room, as there is not a front desk clerk. The phone operator for Elk Horn Lodge was incredibly kind and helpful. She found us a room within our budget (under $300/night for 2 Queens), but we could not check in until 5:30pm, and check-out is at 11am. This lodge is affordable compared to the main lodge that is nearest the mountain ($625/night). Our double queen room was warm and cozy and had two mini fridges, a microwave, shower/bath, hair dryer, coffee pot, and a balcony with a beautiful view of the Angel Fire mountain ski slopes. The rooms were clean, and the door has keyless entry via pin pad. There was no elevator, and we were on the third floor, and I didn't see any rooms on the first floor because there is a locally-owned restaurant inside the building that serves breakfast and lunch (it is not continental.) The snow plough did not plough our parking lot while we were there, but you should park on the edges of the driveway, in case they do. Snow chains for tires are recommended. There is not a large parking area. They are in the process of renovating this lodge, so on the second floor there is remodeling taking place. Overall, this lodge provides a great value, friendly service, and a convenient location with a fantastic view of...

Most visitors to Angel Fire are there for the great outdoors. If you are granola, Elkhorn Lodge is perfect place to lay your head and have a home cooked breakfast. If you are snooty and prissy, then you probably should go to Aspen and waste your money.
