Went to New Mexico for winter vacation with friends and you have to do Angel Fire, beautiful area, it was really Cold but we went for the Snow!! We ate here a few times, tried several things on the menu, the Service was excellent, friendly, even considering how busy they got, as a restaurant owner myself I noticed some problems with food coming out of the kitchen too slow, not the Server's fault by any means. We had to wait both times, Steve the bartender was great! Friendly upbeat Service, suggested some places to go and see. Again Melissa and Brittany were the Bomb!!! We ordered the garlic bread sticks as a app, they were overcooked and hard, Spinach artichoke dip was very good I give it a thumbs up..... Supreme pizza was great I loved the thin crust the ingredients were fresh and again with the Summer salad, my girlfriend ordered the Alfredo chicken it was great but again the garlic bread just doesn't stand up, Green chili Carbonara was excellent but everything we ate with Green chili in New Mexico was good!! We did the Smokehouse pizza the next time and it was just so so, it was seriously overcooked, pizza is small and way overpriced. Peanut butter Landslide we all shared was the Best of all!!! This place is family friendly, great atmosphere, loved the artwork but it is BUSY BUSY so just know there is a wait, my only real negative was we didn't appreciate the owner's attitude when we commented, didn't complain just commented the bread could have been better and she was overly apologizing and then the eye roll, I noticed too several times her interaction with guests and putting problems off on Server's and staff. I back my Staff up 100% 48 years in the restaurant business I completely understand some people are never Happy no matter what you do....... We're going back to Angel Fire in the Spring and spending 2 week, Angel Fired Pizza will definitely be our go to place, hopefully by then the owner has the Kitchen kinks worked out, we're looking forward to Steve great beer, and Melissa and Brittany and their Smiling faces!!! Thanks for a great...
Read moreWe definitely will not be back to this restaurant. We were there early on a busy holiday weekend. We were seated upon arrival and there were only a few tables filled with people. The restaurant started to become very BUSY. We noticed the two tables that sat down after us both had their waitress get them set up with drinks and menus. I asked the waitress and she said we were not in her section. We finally got our waitress after being their 20 minutes. At this point, we decided just to order waters. We were originally planning to order alcohol, sodas and possibly appetizers. We kept seeing people who were they after us get their appetizers, drinks and FOOD!!! I asked the host if we could get a water refill. He asked someone in the bar to get it for us. No one ever showed up with water. We asked our waitress for water and she asked someone else to get us water. We still had no water. Our food arrived and we still had had only one refill of water. We asked for water AGAIN!!. No one came. My husband finally got up and got a pitcher of water and refilled our waters. The pizza was good for a resort town (no options). The two pasta dishes we got were pretty good too. The portions were small. We would have ordered more food but our waitress never asked us if we wanted anything else. RIGHT as we were leaving some other gal asked if we wanted water. We left a $5 tip which is LOW for our bill. We NEVER leave without at least tipping 20%. TIP: Go get a 24 pack of bottled waters at Lowe's and bring it into the restaurant if you want WATER. It is hard to watch others getting good service and helped and your service SUCKS. We OFTEN come up to Angel Fire from Rio Rancho... we will just bring our own WATER next time or order PIZZA to...
Read moreEating at this establishment was our very first experience and stop in Angel Fire, ever. We were very disappointed. We drove in 9 hours. I called at 5pm asking what time they close, to.make sure we didn't show up right at closing. The lady told me they close at 8pm. I asked for dine in? She said 7:30, they stop taking orders. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm. We had 2 families. The lady seating us started to move tables together for us then stopped and said that it wasn't allowed. We sat down at 2 separate tables. She came back to take orders and told us they don't split checks. Our group said, then we will sit at the 2 tables as 2 separate families. She said, no, we can't do that.....should have got up and left then. She was not cordial at all. We ate, split the bill. The food was delicious. While paying ($25 gratuity included), my 7 year old, who had been sitting quietly the whole meal, got up and looked at the bench. The back of the bench is barely held on the wall by 2 leather straps. The back rest fell down on one side. She quickly came over, while my husband was making our son aware to be careful and help put it back in the strap The lady snapped "you can't tough our things in here ok. You can't just be tearing our stuff up!" Let me make this clear, we WILL NOT return to spend a dime in this establishment, might as well a $200 tab! I understand if you have a rowdy crowd and not all tourists are desirable. This was absolutely not the case. The kitchen staff was amazing at getting our food out quickly. The food was delicious! The young girl bringing us drinks was sweet and efficient. The tall woman with dark hair, needs to find a job out of...
