Here’s the TLDR: -Price was right -VERY Affordable Pet Fee -Beds were comfy -Place was Clean (nothing fancy, but clean) -Convenient to the TA truck stop & several restaurants
We were a small convoy of four adults, two children, and a German Shepherd. We had already driven 13 hours and had about nine more to go, and we needed an affordable, clean place that was convenient to the interstate and it had to be pet friendly. This fit the bill nicely. You can tell it’s an older building, but the current management had made quite a lot of effort to make updates & keep everything in good working order. The room was clean, it smelled nice, and the water pressure & temperature was good. Beds were comfy. Pillows were a little flat, but they gave three on each bed to compensate for that. The blankets were a little thin. We checked in around 10:00 so the desk attendant had to unlock the lobby door. To do that for us. We didn’t need a late checkout, so I can’t speak to that. There was an ice machine, soda machine, and a coin operated washer & dryer on the first floor. We didn’t check on the continental breakfast that Google mentioned (because we got such an early start the next day), but some other reviews said it isn’t offered any longer. One of the housekeeping staff did shout us down in the parking lot as we were loading up to leave, and asked us our room number so that he could “clean the dog room”, which I though was unnecessary… I mean, they obviously keep records of which rooms had pets, never mind the fact that my dog is better behaved than most human children 😂 But their pet fee was very reasonable, and we were there for less than ten hours, so my dog & I can overlook the comment. Last night I booked a reservation online for one night using my points and when I arrived Kal the general manager seemed nice at first and awared me he couldn't find my reservation yet as I had booked just 20 mins before even after I provided my confirmation number so he requested I called the 800 number where I booked which I spoke with a very nice lady which confirmed my reservation and long story short she placed me on hold as she contacted the property and spoke with the older woman at front desk which denied providing her their email to confirm my reservation and requested for her to CANCEL my reservation and hung up on the representative. Then the representative called the property a second time and spoke with general manager Kal Patel and I overheard him speaking rude to her over the phone insisting on the representative to make himself a reservation to see why mine wasnt showing up. Needless to say when my reservation finally appeared nearly 40 mins later, he requested a credit card for a $50 sec. deposit which I was unaware of which caused me to cancel my reservation because I didn't have cash on me nor $50 to wait 7 days to be placed back into my account. And now Kal refuses to refund my points back. I have been to many different hotels in the area and been aware of a $25 deposit but never $50 nor of such a rude employee let alone GENERAL MANAGER!! Read moreThe manager of this location backed into my vehicle and did not apologize nor cooperate until after I called the police and put them on speaker for her to turn over her information. I filed a formal complaint with Wyndham properties on how the manager dealt with this. It is also important to notate that not only did she not turn over her information to me until after I called the police the second time and put the officer on speaker phone, she also lied about calling the police herself, did not cooperate, did not apologize until after hearing the officer tell her to give me her information, the cost of the room was more than what it was worth as it smelled of mold and was dusty. The manager in the morning did not make any attempts to make me happier and in fact he implied that it was a mutual fault accident and that he would only turn in still pictures of the accident to insurance. Not the full video. He then sent me an email AGAIN just half heartedly apologized and implied both parties are at fault. Clearly he did not review the video. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. Managment does not take care of their customers and does not do anything to make the customers feel better after such a TERRIBLE experience. Update Insurance found the Manager...
