We love this place. This is our go-to for reasonably priced, CLEAN lodging up in the Lelenau peninsula area. Close enough to everything and Arcadia is not so touristy and built up so it's peaceful. It's not a Courtyard Marriott but if that's what you're looking for, go someplace else and leave this one to us. You can probably afford to stay in Sutton's Bay, if that's your standard. 😂🤣 We love it here! They've recently done some landscaping where the pool used to be and created a really nice little gathering area for BBQ and a glass of wine. Very nice!

Beautiful rooms. Much more than expected. Very comfortable and cozy. Loved the added flair making it feel like a million dollar stay at an affordable price. Pet friendly. Didn't have a motel/ hotel feel at all. The little extras like the in room game, actual coffee cups, wine glasses made it extra special. Would definitely stay again. The only recommendation would be to have a lit sign as it was difficult to find in the dark.

Positives: -Location right on M22 was super convenient and not loud traffic noise at all. -Clean cabins, fully stocked with all the amenities. We forgot our soap and didn’t have to buy any because there was body wash. -The deck and outdoor furniture was a nice addition in the morning - after clearing away the spiders and spiderwebs. Maybe remove the giant flower pot on the table. It’s cumbersome and attracts spiders. -Loved that it was dog friendly. Lots of areas for us to walk her to do her business. -Parking area in back of cabins was great for our truck. Regular parking area was a bit too tight. -Kitchen was great size and had everything you would need to cook with. -The full sized coffee pot was a huge plus - being able to make your coffee the way you like is priceless in the morning. Was glad it wasn’t a Keurig machine. Even came with filters!

Negatives: -Wall AC unit did not cool entire cabin. We have wall units in our home and they cool much better. I had to sleep on the couch to get cool. -Super uncomfortable queen bed. It was also obvious that my husband was heavier because the mattress sunk more on his side and I found myself rolling to his side. -The only mirror was in the bathroom. A mirror elsewhere would’ve allowed multiple people to get ready simultaneously. -The couch was incredibly loud and uncomfortable to sit on - it was a hide-a-way bed. -The bathroom was incredibly tiny - the shower was the smallest I’ve ever used. My 8-year old daughter had trouble. If the shower head was removable, it would’ve been much easier to maneuver in the small space. -Loud mechanical noise outside most of the night. Would stop for a short time and start back up again. I got very little sleep. -Mildew smell in the bathroom...

I booked this place to be by Arcadia Bluffs for my friend's 50th bday outing. The place was clean and nice and also just a few miles away from Arcadia.

The downside to this place is I booked for 2 days a week or more in advance and needed to cancel 1 of the nights. 30 day cancellation required! I don't care if I'm staying at a top resort in Hawaii, I've never seen a 30 day cancellation notice in my life. Things come up for people and I called a week in advance to ask for 1 of the days to be dropped to no avail.

There is no onsite service, which is fine. Almost like an AirBNB. The downside is I made multiple phone calls as did my booking agent and NOBODY answers the phone. When I did get someone, they were totally blank on the cancellation policy and remediation and said they would call me back and that didn't happen.

Zero ice machine on the property, so plan on bringing some as there are very limited stores and gas stations to get some.

Overall, it's not like I would not recommend this place, but if you're going to be a passive ownership, at least answer the phone, get a community ice machine and get rid of this insane 30 day...

My husband and I stayed at Pleasant Valley resort cottage #10 in late June. It was the best place we stayed on our whole trip to Michigan. The whole place is clean, welcoming and peaceful. We loved leaving our windows open at night for the lovely cool air, being able to cook simple meals for ourselves and having a homey comfortable home base for our adventures in the area. Tom and Shannon clearly love providing lodgings for their guests. They were extremely helpful when we had questions. Do yourself a favor and read the entire binder that Shannon has thoughtfully and thoroughly written about the local area and activities of interest to any type of visitor. We enjoyed the evening walk she recommended as well as a bike ride described in the book. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I can see why people return year after year for their family vacations. Arcadia is very peaceful and although small it has some of the best that Michigan has to offer in my opinion. Be kind to...
