Bowens Creek — Restaurant in Arcadia Township

Great coffee, but very inconsistent. We have been coming here for a few weeks while we are in town. Often we get coffee here and I love that this shop is open. This review is meant to be constructive.

Probably the biggest complaint I had is that earlier last week we ordered a drip coffee and an iced whiteout. It took 45 minutes to receive our coffee. No exaggeration.

And I understand they get busy or whatever. But they never communicated to us that it would take a while. We had a fussy baby and we were trying to time her nap. They had like 12 orders of food so the one guy was just making food and the 2nd staff member was just taking orders at the register. So no one was making coffee for a while.

And then I had to remind them I existed because I think they forgot to make my coffee (which took 30 seconds).

I was a barista myself for almost 2 years so I get how chaotic it can be when busy. But it just sucks to wait 45 min. You gotta let people know ahead of time that you are slammed, because we cant see that theres a family of 12 that just ordered lunch for everyone.

Sometimes we arrive and the staff just stares at us. No "hello" or pleasantries. I'd be fired on the spot for that. This is a big thing to me.

Anyway, we do love this shop. The last couple years I never had any issues. This year the quality control and customer experience has gone down the drain. I'd guess it is improper training. I'd recommend the supervisors to take several days for orientation. Either that or TikTok has ruined the minds of the baristas.

I will say this one dude works there, he has piercing blue eyes. Hes the freaking man. The GOAT. He is so nice and so efficient and awesome. Double his hourly rate please he...

Bowen's Creek is a hidden gem! Such a kind and welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is amazing!!!

Their hot lattes are perfect for a chilly day. The dopio is one of my favorite things to get there because the quality of their espresso is phenomenal! The Whiteout is another go-to of mine with its silky smooth cold foam that cascades down the rich espresso. So delicious. 😍

The food there fits any kind of craving I have with the fluffy beneits if I'm looking for a snack, or the protein-packed savory crepes if I'm more hungry. The Heron is my favorite. The breakfast sandwich is another item I adore. It has a buttery, crispy croissant with egg, and options of meat and cheese-my favorite being bacon provolone!

Bowen's Creek will hold a special place in my heart after all of the wonderful experiences they have provided. Definitely a perfect stop if you're hungry, need some coffee, or simply want to chat with Bowen who is so pleasant and caring to...

Excellent coffee, lattes and cappuccinos! I’m giving 5 stars for the food and spot because I love eating outside and the shipping container look is so modern and fresh - especially for the area. Service gets 3 stars as a result of the wait. Several parties sat waiting over 35 minutes for coffees and I believe it’s because the team wants the coffee and food to come out at the same time. I think I would rather have my coffee right away and wait a bit for my crepe to go! It’s a delicious meal and portable so I would have enjoyed getting my coffee quick, sitting outside with my family, then having the food join us later. Over 35 minutes for coffee is a bit longer than I’d like to wait! The shop is new and I know they’ll get it...
