The front desk guy was rude, treating my friend and I in a stereotypical way with his verbal communication and unprofessional glares. It took way too long to check in because the first room's refrigerator was broken leaving a very vile smell taking up the essence of the entire room, pretty sure it was mildew/mold given the yellow puddle of liquid that was on the bottom inside of the refrigerator. I asked for another room and first he said there wasn't any and he needed to check the room I have my complaint about. I told him he's more than welcome to go check it out. As he was about to leave the office another customer walked in and at first he told that person he will be back quickly, that person made a comment and let out a grunt sound, so the CSR stopped and went back to help that person to check in which took roughly 30 minutes because their card kept getting declined including with them trying to use the ATM and them calling his banks customer support line. Then the CSR finally starts to go check out the room I was given, while simultaneously telling me that I will have to put down a deposit in order to switch rooms because he got caught in his initial response that was a lie about not having anymore rooms. I reminded him that I used reward points for my stay and the back and forth conversation from there wasn't clear or making any sense so I told him the deposit would be fine especially since my points weren't refundable and the deposit was. When he returned to give me a new key to a new room, the transfer wasn't pleasant in any way, shape or form. However he did waive the refundable deposit. My score is so low only because of the entire interactions with the CSR of the hotel and for how long it took to get everything handled. I've never been treated that way for as long as I have been a member with Choice Privilege Hotels, since 2023. That experience alone is a guarantee that I will never return to that specific hotel. Other than that, the shower water was really hot and great but the pressure was meh. If you don't know how to use a smart TV like myself it'll take about 5-10 minutes to decide to either give up from frustration or figure it out or just leave it on the channel that it was already on when you turned it on... The AC/Heater worked great and the curtains give you privacy and blocks out the...
Read moreI saw a woman with all her things on the street. Gave her a ride to this hotel. Didn’t know her. She was short 8 dollars for a room. I went in to pay. The man behind the desk was speaking to her with anger about how many people she had in the room last time. She assured him she wouldn’t this time but he kept badgering her. I then went to pay, having no involvement with this woman outside of this day and he took my card still tense, and asked for my id. He then inspected my id and the debit card closely and said your name isn’t on this debit card.
Firstly, I have never been anywhere where that mattered. Everywhere else takes my card just fine but today since I’m standing next to this woman with a history, you’re suspicious that I may have stole this card. I refused to be treated this way. I asked for her money back and he was reluctant and wanted to give me a order on him taking my card first. I said, no we will go somewhere else and left.
He had terrible energy and should never speak to anyone the way he did. If you know someone’s history and they have upset your rules then DO NOT TAKE THEIR MONEY. But ONCE YOU ARE WILLING TO ACCEPT THEIR MONEY YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO THEM WITH RESPECT as they are a customer like anyone else. I truly hate these raggedy places. They are managed by Unprofessional ill-mannered scumbags. This is America not a third world country adjust your attitude accordingly.
He wasn’t doing anyone any favors so don’t you ever make it seem like people are criminals when they come to get a room. The card I had was...
Read moreYou have to pay an extra $20 to stay over. Another words you have to check out, and check back in, or you pay an extra $20. I'm not local I'm from SC working out of state!!! Unfortunately I stay in Motels more often than I do my own home. I definitely will pass this along with my 1000s of co workers to NOT stay here if they are in the area. I have never encountered any extra fee to extend your stay, for extra nights, at any other Motel. I'did stay a total of 3 nights, and yes, I had to pay the extra $20 a day, because I wouldn't check out, and go ride around Arlington, for 3 hours, to come back, and check back in. I did however find a very nice, quite, Motel else where, and they will be my go to from now own. Also, the Roadway Inn, in Carrollton, TX is probably owned by relatives, because they were trying to charge some ridiculous deposit of $200, like they are a 5 star Motel, and aren't even a 2 star Motel. So, don't bother with then either. Travelodge is the way to go in this area of TX..... And for the record, they comment left below, is for looks only, nothing has been done as far as an investigation of said review, because I haven't been contacted in anyway, or been offered to make any of this right by the customer. The staff that cleans the rooms, are the ones who truly keep that Motel running, they were nice, and pleasant, but the people that own it, have terrible attitudes. And pretty much demand you to pay that extra...
