Wow! Where to begin. My spouse and I go here almost EVERY Tuesday evening because we love their tacos and quesadillas…. Even tho we have to constantly battle the language barrier, and I am Hispanic, we still continue to support this small local business. Today, while waiting for my food, gentleman approached me and actually asked how the food is because it’s always empty and he was skeptical. I told him how much we enjoy it weekly, and perhaps they do a lot of takeout orders because I thought the same thing. Boy, did I jump the gun. My spouse usually picks up the food but I happen to work closer to the restaurant now. There have been TOO many instances where my spouse would order tacos without a certain topping, and on too many instances, they would STILL put the topping on. So there I would be digging thru tacos every other week because they can’t understand a simple order. Well, today I just did digging thru 4 of them and I called to speak to the manager. I was actually hung up on when I asked for the managers name. I called back immediately so I could get that woman’s name, along with the manager’s name, and the woman just told me to call back tomorrow morning and ask for the manager. Then she declined to give me her name and hung up on me again. And put the phone off the hook, so I only get a busy signal. Completely rude and disrespectful staff, now I’ll be requiring a full refund (including the tip.) and we won’t be stepping foot inside this place again. I had even told my co-workers about this place so they could try it out now that our new work location is nearby them. Well… Good riddance. Hire...
Read moreI’d like to start this one by thanking the staff, super friendly and welcoming, I asked for a sample of each of their 6 aguas frescas and the person behind the counter was so niece about it! They were good, horchata was water down, it just happens that I love water down horchata so I love it, sandía was the best for sure ! I was recommended by the staff a burger, as one of the best things to order from the menu, yet I came here for the tacos, and that’s what I order, cabeza and prensado, while I waited I tasted the salsa both had a weird taste, far from Mexican, the flavors here aren’t Mexican at all, it might be a Chicano thing, don’t get me wrong they aren’t bad, but they are funky tasting. Cabeza was by far the worst meat I have ever tasted at any place, swimming on juices yet pieces of it were dry and hard as if different batches (old and. We) were mixed together. The prensado, I have no clue what it was (I thought it was chicharon prensado) the flavor was a mix between Tajín and chicken with knort powder, all I can’t say is, if you are looking for Mexican tacos, this is not the place, I would...
Read moreI work down the street from the Pancho Tacos in Grand Prairie. I've tried just about every place near where I work and this is hands down the best. The prices are good. The food is fantastic. This is not Tex-Mex. This is MEXICAN food and you need it right now. They have a daily special that's $6.99 where you get 3 corn or flour tacos with rice and beans and a drink. The tacos are simple with meat, cilantro, onions, lime wedge but you can add cheese, veggies, etc (but don't ruin it with that, just keep it simple). Everything is served with incredible red and green hot sauces on the side.I've tried 5 or 6 different meats on their tacos and although they've all been good, the al pastor (grilled marinated pork) is the best for me. It is in my opinion the best taco in DFW. Honestly. It does help if you know a bit of Spanish, but if you don't, they have English explanations on the menu and staff who speak english. In conclusion, I've always heard that if you are in another country and you want to have the best food, go where the locals go. This is where the nearby locals go. Run, don't walk, to...
