Management is very difficult to understand. During the fire no one followed a fire plan, and he refused to shut down, operating without back up generator(refusing to refund stays and charging for stays it was inoperable). You would have a better smelling room in medford, as far as noise from drug dependants, I would just pay the extra to go to comfort inn. This is the place I always stay in Ashland. Quirky, clean, cheap, and run by a nice couple named Moe and Nancy originally from Fiji. Right now I am in our room enjoying the good air conditioning and looking at the microwave and refrigerator. Two double beds for three of were $91 a night including all charges.
