Better late than never , we lodged here for 3 nights over the Memorial day weekend 2022, and I must say the crew that held this place down were Fantastic !!!
KELCI: She was SuperB
CEDON : Cool headed dude , went out of his way to get us some bed spread change at short notice , also helped with request for toilet papers, keep it up brother, the sky is your limit
FELICIA : She was Awesome
ASIANNA : I hope I spelt that correctly, you folks are the best, if our journey pass through Ashland again , we sure will be loding in this Hotel
PROS:
1.Clean Hotel and still relatively New , Lobby has some Family friendly games and there was no awful smells like some other Hotels š
GREAT LOCATION , just off the highway
LOTS OF DINING AND SHOPPING around!!!
CONS :
Saved this for last ,
Where do I start from , we had a Syrup from Breakfast that had MOLDS in it, yeah you read that right "MOLD", for some reason Milk served the morning of 05/30/2022 was also Bad, Manager gave some explanation as a defense for that, that it was because it was frozen prior š¤ š.
Bathtub had no Faucets, I must confess not Children friendly and there was no way you will have a bath without water all over the Floor when you step out , this I must say is some Architectural/Design flaws.
The rooms were also Super small compared to most Hotels we have ever lodged in.
That truck stop, huh the Vibrations coming from there could be annoying sometimes, especially when those trucks run IDLE midnight/early in the morningš”, this well probably is no fault of the Hotel , it's just the Location they found themselves.
These are just few observations in as much as no one is perfect and not taking away from the Wonderful efforts of the staffs so take this as a Honest review with no form of biase, and Yeah for that for us it's still a 5...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame up for a dog show. An acquaintance made the reservations so I had no clue what I would walk into. The lobby is clean with a small shop to buy snacks. Coffee & tea 24/7 is a plus! My room was decent size, clean floors, spotless bathroom and decently comfortable bed. No closet, but neat hooks to hang your clothes. No dressers, but I wouldn't use them anyway. Plenty of areas to put my items. The fridge is tiny with no freezer, but the front desk put my freezer packs in their freezer with my name on them. The microwave is downstairs by the front desk. I never used it so I can't attest to its cleanliness. Breakfast on Wednesday was fairly decent. Cheese omelet & bacon is what I had and it was not bad! I did have an issue and it was NOT the staff's fault. The room above me stomped, bounced and thumped (I think they had little kids who ate way too much sugar š¤Ŗ). My dog was flipping out, I couldn't sleep and the front desk spoke with the family 2x. After midnight I had it. Front desk offered to give me another room just to sleep and didn't have to move my items. Of course my pup had to inspect the entire room (bird dog) and sniff every square inch. So sleep was minimal at best. When I got back to my room in the AM To change (around 6:30am), the wee little thumpers were back to jumping and banging again. The General Manager let me know a sports group was coming in on Thursday so she kindly moved me to the top floor so I could not have peeps banging overhead again. It was a bit of a pain to pack up all my stuff (staying a total of 4 nights) and unpacking again, but hopefully my sleep for the remaining 3 nights is more restful! Kind, attentive and welcoming. Will be staying here again when I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed here because we had stayed at another Tru hotel and liked it. This hotel was pretty similar except it was older. I'm guessing this hotel has been open for about a year. The woman who checked us in was friendly and so was the woman who checked us out. I was surprised we were only offered water since we're diamond members but maybe that varies by hotel. The breakfast offered a couple of options I could eat (I'm gluten free) so that was a nice surprise. Now for the negative, they do not clean or maintain the hotel well. The first room we were given smelled of cigarettes and overall just didn't smell clean. The second room we were given (#415) at least smelled clean so we settled for that. There was a giant divot in the floor by the bed closest to the door. Big enough you could turn your ankle in it. The beds appeared clean until we did our close inspection that we always do. The beds are on platforms instead of box springs. The platforms appear to have never been cleaned. There are numerous crumbs, pieces of dirt, etc between the mattress and the platform. In addition, it appears that someone poured something sticky all down the side of one of the platforms. The bathroom has a tile falling off the wall by the shower and the sink only has a trickle for cold water. In addition to all this, this hotel is located in a horrible spot right off I 95. It's surrounded by a Knights Inn and a truck stop. There were all sorts of people loitering outside the hotel...
