First time trying this brand. I am a ING and Marriott member. And wanted to try this place and start building point with my ING account. First thing was that the location was good it quiet. Yes, it near the interstate but it get quiet and didn't bother me at all. Second the price it was only $89 before tax per night which i can't complain about. 3rd My issue, is they charge me $75 deposit, I know I will get it back, but really!!. 4th I was surprised how small the room was. There no microwave either to heat food. The desk is small it cramp. No table to eat food. But it good enough for one night. The bed is comfortable i slept good and the bathroom pretty nice. The hotel give a modern and economical feel to the hotel. But I could have gone down the road to holiday inn and pay a few $8 to 10 dollar more and get a huge room. But I wanted to try this new brand. The breakfast was okay it was small with limited option. The coffee machine was nice and coffee was pretty good. Overall it pretty nice. Just small and cramp for me. But it good for short stay. Had to remove another star. Checked out and couldn't even get a copy of invoice staff stated she couldn't clock in and to wait 10 to 15 min ? Need the receipt to expense for my company. Not waiting know 72 hour for a copy.

We had business in the area where this Avid is located and decided to give it a try since it is recently opened and other Avid locations have good reviews. Despite being only open a few days before our stay, the location was fully set up with no "just opened" issues along with a helpful and friendly staff. It has one of the better workout rooms of hotels we have recently stayed and liked that there is a water bottle fill station just outside the workout room entrance. The room and bathroom are a nice size and setup in a good layout without being overly full. The "grab and go" breakfast was good. We also liked the coffee and tea station being available 24 hours a day. One thing about the room some may not like is there not being an abundance of charging ports, but there were enough for us. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars was that it was hard to get the room temperature consistently comfortable for us overnight, and there was some road noise. Our room was on the top floor, so that may have had something to do with these 2 issues. It is possible that rooms on lower floors may not have these issues. Overall, we had a good stay and would consider staying here again (but in a room on a lower floor).

We stayed here for 3 nights during a vacation in Austin. Upon check in the front desk woman was helpful and friendly. Check in was easy and smooth. Our room was clean and comfortable. The water in the shower had good water pressure and the water was nice and hot. Breakfast we good but not great. The same thing was offered every day except one morning when there was a choice off eggs/sausage/ potatoes ( the 3rd morning it was what looked like the left over eggs only). Hot cocoa was available morning 1 but never refilled the rest of the mornings. The juices ran clear in morning 3 and after sitting and eating for 10 or so minutes we finally saw someone who was working ( typically there has been no one working around in the lobby or front desk while we were at breakfast.) she was able to fix the juice machine. Over all it was a good stay. I think their staff needs to be present in the lobby area in the mornings as it seems strange that they weren’t.

I have stayed in this hotel for about two months now. I wanted to wait before posting this review because I wanted to see if they were consistent. I am a travel nurse and have been for a couple of years now. I have stayed in different hotels and I don’t usually write a review because there is usually not much to say, they usually are not any different. But this hotel is an exception and I will explain why.

The Rooms: Clean and well maintained. As a healthcare provider, I am very particular about cleanliness and this hotel doesn’t disappoint. The rooms smell good, the sheets are clean and the pillows are very comfortable. The personal care products they provide in the bathrooms smell so good too. They do not have carpet in the rooms which I like. They have a mini fridge in the room but they do not have a microwave. They do, however, have one by the front desk which I think is not a big deal because it is such a short walk from the rooms. And besides, it is a great opportunity to get to know the staff. They are very accommodating and friendly. Amazing job to the housekeepers. Even on the days that are very busy, you still maintain the same quality of service you provide.

Complimentary Breakfast: Grab and go! If you are expecting a buffet breakfast with fake eggs and thin-barely there bacon, then this is not for you. What they do have are organic fruits, coffee beans that are freshly ground, still and sparkling water, REAL eggs. And they try to change it up a bit daily which I really appreciate especially since I live here almost everyday. As soon as I get down to the lobby I just grab what I like and drive to work. It is very convenient for me. Though, you do have the option of sitting in for breakfast should you want to.

Staff: EXCEPTIONAL! Justine, Cristine and Keyla all make you feel like family. As soon as you walk in the door, you see their faces light up, it just brightens up the room and their warmth and hospitality are contagious. And I think that has a lot to do with how they choose their people when hiring. I have met their General Manager, Jennifer and you can just feel that warmth and sincerity just radiate from her. Kudos to the team. It is rare to have such a cohesive team.

Ambiance: I love how it is so quiet and peaceful here. After a long day at work, It is just what I need. They do not have a pool here (In case you were wondering), which I think is maybe one of the reasons why it stays quiet throughout the day. There is that waterpark close by. Rather than paying for an expensive hotel in the water park, you can opt to stay here with the family and just pay for day use over there. That’s what I do when my kids come to visit.

Little Extras that matter to me: They prepare these flavored water by the front desk, with cookies and brownies sometimes for guests to have for free. The flavors change. Sometimes it’s lemon water, or cucumber, apples or strawberries. They are so good. It is one of the things I look forward to when i get back from work. It isn’t there everyday. But when it is, I urge you to try them. They are so refreshing.

If you are looking for a place that has great value for money, this is where you go. You will not find a place like this with this much genuine care and great attention to detail at this price range. I have been to many and I have not found one like this. This is like a second home to me and I thank everyone from this hotel for making me feel less homesick. You...

Just visited Austin for the first time and stayed for a week. Before the trip, I did - maybe an excessive amount of - hotel research to find a good place to stay that wasn't going to break the bank. After a few hours of reading reviews and comparing prices, I decided on Avid NW Lakeline and crossed my fingers that it was the right choice.

Its a little ways from Downtown Austin, but I had my car so that part didn't bother me much. And I was pleased to find that the traffic really wasn't too bad, all things considered.

Now for the hotel. FREE parking is an automatic plus. That, along with not having to use Valet parking was one of the reasons I decided to look further outside the downtown area. I didn't have any issue parking in their lot the entire week. The parking lot is lit and it feels safe. Its also incredibly easy to get to from the highway and to get back on to the highway.

Then we enter the lobby - Incredibly clean, super well lit, and very welcoming! They even have coffee and a few other options available free all day. Thats another automatic plus in my book! The front desk staff was really nice and made the check in/out process easy peasy.

Next, the room. We were on the 4th floor which is the top floor at this hotel. Elevator access was never an issue. We never had to wait long for one to arrive. The elevators were clean and spacious, the hallways were clean and well lit. The room was also incredibly clean! I know this is a newer hotel, but sometimes they take a turn for the worse sooner than seems possible. This place certainly doesn't seem like that'll be the case. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean and soft. The bathroom was very spacious and also well-cleaned! We aren't too picky about where we stay, but cleanliness and safety are the highest priorities. And this place gets an A+ in my book for the week we were there!

It also happened to be the hottest week in Austin, but the A/C was able to keep up and our room never got uncomfortable!

I was also very pleasantly surprised that our stay was incredibly quiet. The hotel is right off the highway, but the noise is not overwhelming at all. And my room even faced the road. The other guests in the hotel were also quiet and respectful.

Overall, I couldn't have been happier with my stay here and I'm glad I ended up searching so long for hotels so I was able to find this place. I'll be staying here again the next time I'm in Austin.

Also - if you like coffee, there's a coffee shop called Cuppa Austin 3 minutes away and super easy to get to....
