I originally selected this hotel because it had great reviews. I can tell you they were certainly earned. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly & helpful. The quality of the room was impeccable. The cleanliness of the entire hotel, but especially the room, was immaculate. I stay in hotels every month & this one, by far, surpasses my experiences in the past several years. Seems like hotels don’t care about cleanliness anymore, but this one exceeded my expectations on many levels. The room was in like-new condition, but in a way that showed it’s regularly maintained, not just “lipsticked” or painted over. The grout in the shower was white & free of grime. I always get grossed out when I look at a hotel sink & see a disgusting rim of black mildew under the edge which indicates it’s not cleaned very well or often, but at this hotel it was SPOTLESS (see picture attached). Even the bathroom exhaust vent was clean - no dust or crud stuck in the ceiling grate! The furniture was in mostly great condition - couch cushions weren’t stained or ratty, office chair functioned, & even had nice LED reading lamps on the bed headboard in addition to the bedside table lamps. Another cool feature was that the office desk was on rollers. The only things I found lacking: 1) the mini fridge is in a non-ventilated cabinet, so you have to leave the cabinet door open for the fridge to get cold & 2) the awesome TV connection panel on the front of the TV stand allowed me to use my travel Roku, except the HDMI plug on the stand didn’t work. It wasn’t a problem though because the TV is mounted on an extending bracket so I was easily able to reach an HDMI slot on the TV itself. The AC was nice & cold. The water pressure was great & hot water plentiful. They use a water softener which I don’t particularly love, but I know most people do. Read moreFrom the free airport shuttle that was kind enough to wait for me to the welcoming staff especially the manager Joshalyn I can't begin to say how wonderful the stay was. The hotel is clean, offers a welcoming décor, you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel absolutely beautiful hotel!. The rooms are oversized and the bed is fantastic after a long flight and the room also has microwave, frig, and coffee maker although they also serve what appeared to be Starbucks coffee. The staff called to welcome me the day before I was to arrive and answered any questions I had. The TV had plenty of options, the bar has full service as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner being served and the food is excellent. They have a mini store for anything you may need to purchase. I drink plenty of tea with tons of sugar and the bar staff helped me out on that sure wished I could remember her name but thank you for the excellent service. They offer all anyone could need especially if you just want to relax. They have an outdoor patio with wonderful couches and chairs to relax with friends or to enjoy a bit of quiet time, also a large outdoor pool. I needed a taxi and they called to arrange that for me. I felt they honestly cared for me as a person and my total comfort which is hard to find. I can't recommend this hotel and the staff enough for the excellent visit over Memorial Day weekend, I felt like I was in paradise. Read moreI switched hotels due to several issues . Firstly, the management seemed unfamiliar with IHG programs, and they charged me in advance despite the website stating no deposit was required. This disrupted my plans for a 4 free nights challenge,as I had to use a reward night, preventing me from starting the streak. I found their lack of assistance frustrating, as they repeatedly told me to call IHG, even though the information should be on their website if the hotel doesn't honor it.
I was staying for a total of 12 nights. Additionally, the charges were not adequately explained prior to booking. While I was informed about a hotel service fee, there was no mention of a incidental hold per night.
As a travel agent, I believe such details should be clearly stated on the website, including whether the hold is refunded.
Furthermore, there was no breakfast provided during my stay, and the cook didn't show up for work. The front desk didn't provide any notice, so guests had to wait for breakfast. This experience left me questioning the value of being an IHG member at this particular hotel.
Lastly, my rate increased from one hundred to two hundred per night with the room hold, and it would have been even more expensive.
I won't be recommending this hotel because I ended up spending more money, and none of these charges were explained before I made my reservation.
